I thought I was done blogging! Couldn't put up with the political nonsense anymore. Even voted by absentee ballot already. BUT. Couldn't pass up remarking about our VICE PRESIDENT Biden and his DONKEY act at the debate with Ryan. What a disrespectful, smug, snot! May have been different if he hadn't competed against OBlunder for next Pinocchio movie too!
Specifically, wasn't it amazing how confident and right he "looked" when he was speaking. A true con-artist, used car salesman, BSer. Particularly when he told everybody the Libyan embassy never asked for more security before the 9/11 murder of Christopher. Did he NOT hear the individuals that testified to Congress under oath? I'm sure he did but believes those multiple people lied and HIS source didn't. Well, who was his source? The Intelligence people that screwed things up from the beginning? Or didn't he hear them, and now dismissing them too?
He said no one asked for higher security in Libya. Facts: Multiple people did. Multiple people REPORTED breaches prior and requested more security. Instead, the State Department REMOVED what they claimed was excess security.
Conclusion: Biden either lied through his DONKEY teeth (can't you picture Eddie Murphy saying the words through Donkey's grinning image?) re the requests for additional security and also lied re Intelligence NOT telling him the same; OR he is far out of touch of any foreign happenings and just like to tell stories and grin.
Then he also makes comments about Iran stating that they AREN'T CLOSE to a nuclear weapon despite being close to fully enriched uranium because they have no deployment vehicle! They are FAR FROM BEING ABLE TO DELIVER is what he said! Hey Biden, how easy would it be for me to BUY a deployment weapon in the Black Market like they are their gasoline and how they are selling oil to other countries? Hello Biden? He gave me the impression he has NO CONCERNS, whereas, Obama and everybody else in the world, EXCEPT IRAN, does. Is Israel's intelligence also of no value to our V.P.? Here again is Biden just Lying? I look at some other possibilities, such as he's right. If that were the case, he just exposed some of the highest classified information to the world, including Iran, over the air! Thus, if he was just lying, that would be the better case! Otherwise, he just committed treason!
Is this the kind of administration you want guarding America? One that is NOT EVEN CONCERNED and simply thinks smirks and grinning is convincing evidence for his words. I turn the debate off shortly after. Now that I hear the commentator was a FRIEND, along with her cutting off Ryan's rebuttals, I am even more convinced this was an ambush by the liberals. Thankfully, Ryan held his own solidly anyway. I would have nailed Biden immediately with the above logic to expose his overly relaxed posture on the Middle East! He's a loser.
Biden is nothing but Shrek's Donkey's grin! We should all laugh at him and get him the heck out of the White House ASAP!

672. PSU and NCAA Sanctions
OK. My son wanted me to blog something about the NCAA sanctions placed on Penn State. These were obviously based on the Sandusky trial and the Penn State investigative report by Sporkin and Sullivan. LLC.
The NCAA is an athletic organization. thus, my opinion is that they should be viewing any information from the viewpoint of how the athletic department and teams responded to the Sandusky affairs AND how the university reacted to isolate and protect the athletics (money maker) at Penn State.
The investigative report was quite informative, but still left a lot of questions in my mind. For example, Paterno's involvement. The report reiterates details we all herd of through the media and trials. I do NOT see any convincing evidence re Paterno other than he passed the ball to the executives of the university to handle rather than trying to do something beyond his legal knowledge.
What I find strange is that in 1998 when the an abuse was first reported, the university police and Department of Welfare (after a County organization accused itself for conflict of interest with Second Mile), and the DA knew almost immediately -- thus, it was reported (by the mother of the victim). Unfortunately, a "bear hug" was NOT deemed sexual abuse by any of them and the investigation was CLOSED. So, I ask you, if you were the president of Penn State and in addition to these three groups plus another independent consultant who reviewed the case and agreed with them, would you not have reacted the same way, i.e., that it was close? Well, they did not stop there and did consult Sandusky to inform him of potential inappropriate conduct with children and asked him to be more aware.
When McQueary reported an incident in February 2001, all things changed! First off, why was Sandusky even there and did he not understand that touching a boy was off limits? He was told this in 1998. Yet, the Penn State executives did NOT take immediate action and report it this time despite their winnings in 1998. So, yes they screwed up, as their emails attest too. Getting back to Joe Paterno, he did too. He also knew the results of the 1998 investigation and words said to Sandusky, yet, he tipped toed around and passed the ball off ignoring his moral obligations.
That leaves me to believe the abuse process at Penn State was faulty and never corrected in 1998. This led to the 2001 incident also being mismanaged to the point of covering it up. I could excuse Penn State after the 1998 incident because it was the DA and DPW that dropped the ball and told Penn State all was fine legally. But, I cannot excuse Penn State for the 2001 incident and failure to even report the incident and investigation to its board. I can not excuse the board after they did learn about it for not initiating their own investigation immediately.Too many high level officials of the university were at fault at the mercy of the victims who continued to accumulate.
Now, the sanctions. Paterno ignored his moral values. Values that should be positive and constructive and passed along to his staff and team. Legally, he is probably not liable for anything since he was relying on executives to handle it. But, he dropped the ball badly by letting Sandusky continue to prey on victims ON THE CAMPUS! Paterno should be penalized by the NCAA, and taking wins from him since 1998 was the worse case. Maybe I would have done it from 2001 instead, but regardless, he will now not the the winningest coach in history. So be it. Since the university has already collected millions of donations targets for abuse organizations, the alumni and students should NOT be penalized. Nor should the active football team and new coach who would like nothing more than the time to clean things up. I do not agree with banning the team from bowl games for four years. If anything, I would allow them to go but to turn over any proceeds from the bowl games to a fund for abused children. Why punish college kids who have earned scholarships at Penn State? Just wrong. AS far as the $60M fine. Good.
The real problem was that everybody wanted to take the most direct and easiest way out of the situation, rather than to thoroughly investigate it as a crime against young boys! This was the crime Penn State is guilty of. They should never have accepted the incorrect (my opinion) reports of their own consultants or local authorities without taking some action to prevent it from happening again.
Students at Penn State can still be proud. Proud of the excellent opportunities to learn and to participate in sports and other organizations of choice. This will pass in their mind. I just hope the university gets their act together and improves their abuse process AND TESTS it! We are Penn State.

671. Another mistake in Obamacare Law
This article points out a mistake in wording that could be challenged yet by more states and organizations to prevent the Federal government from doling out subsidy money for those who can't afford health care. In short, the law does not specifically state that the Federal Government can subsidize people who obtain insurance from FEDERAL EXCHANGES. I doubt if this is going to hold up the Feds from shoving this down our throats. Still, the law does specifically state that subsidies could be granted if insurance is obtained from a STATE exchange. It also questions the penalty to employers who decide not to offer insurance and it's employees must go to a Federal Exchange -- NO penalty. What a poorly written law. in addition to poor policies. Repeal the BAD parts NOW!
670. Voter ID's for Free, but an inconvenience!
Come on you losers who want to make up excuses for NOT having a photo ID. According to this article, the states requiring photo IDs will give you one for free. However, read the article and get ready to chuckle at the lame excuses somebody came up with why it is still not going to happen. For example, 300,000 do not have vehicles to get to a center. THEN HOW DO THEY GET TO THE VOTING BOOTH? As I said in post # 653, my mother who NEVER had a driver's license or vehicle had a photo ID from Pennsylvania decades ago! She took a BUS to get it taken! Wow, how lame are people who came up with this excuse? Take a TAXI, go with a friend who does have a vehicle. I would almost guarantee that people who can't find a way to get a photo ID SHOULDN'T BE VOTING! Another stupid article by YAHOO! The TICKET, the most current liberal press organization. Get a life.

669. Timmy NOW BELIEVING
Wow. Tim Geithner, the Treasurer of United States, FINALLY got the message re Europe's effects on America. I've blogging about his dumb claim back in Post #551 (followup were 586 and 649) that Europe's crisis won't affect the U.S. It shows to pay that common street smarts are much more valuable than ill learned rote knowledge. I wish I could say Timmy learns from experience, but, obviously, he doesn't. This article points out his bags are packed to leave after OBlunder's first term ends. Adios Timmy.

668. Book Reviews Update
It's been a while since I updated my reviews of books read. I'll try to remember them all since last time:
Nonfiction
Age of Deleveraging by Gary Shilling - Same old Shilling. Some interesting points. B-
In His Own Words by Mitt Romney - Excellent summary of Mitt's beliefs on EVERY imaginable topic. A must to know what Mitt is all about. A+
The Behavior Gap by Carl Richards - Started out ok, but then it went downhill without anything new. B-
Currency Wars by James Rickards - Excellent book ties together the way nations manipulate their currencies to get an edge on other nations. Both history and current events. A+
Fiction
Event by David Goleman - The first of a series (Event Group). All Gloeman's books begin with history and myths that are made true and tie in with an mystery, intrigue, and actions to resolve a current Event (something that affects the world or many people). I suggest starting with this book to learn the characters. All following books start where the last left off (or close to it). You can start any where, but you'll then know who is left from the previous book -- you don't won't to know that. His remaining books are in order. All are Science Fiction and very entertaining. This one was based on the Roswell UFO incident with the new event being a return visit. A
Legend by David Goleman - Takes place in a lost valley along the Amazon. You'll meet interesting creatures and be entertained by the clash of different factions, some after gold, some on a rescue mission. The Event Group is a secret organization. Think Jack of the show 24 to relate to the main charcter Jack Collins. A
Anchients by David Golemon - A lot better than what Amazon's ratings were. Remember, Golemon's books are action books and science fiction.Read them as such and they are good. Recovered weapons from Atlantis is this basis; artifacts that could destroy the entire world. A
Leviathan by David Golemon - Rember Jules Verne? The futuristic submarine he described was "actually" built and modified twice and now has a mission to keep the waters clean at all costs. A
Primeval by David Golemon - Russian treasures including Peter the Great's twin diamonds, a nuclear bomb that never made it to its destiniation of the Soviet Union during Kennedy's administration, Big foot-like animals, and, of course, many factions clashing in the same place with different objectives with no objective of sharing. A
Wind Through the Keyhole by Stephen King - I liked this one. this was a NEW story within the Dark tower series. A
The Taking by Dean Koontz - This was an old Koontz book and therefore still readable. He hasn't impressed me lately. I probably read this a long time ago, but remembered little. Enjoyable story about aliens who come to take over earth. B+
The Haunted by Bentley Little - Bentley hasn't written a good book since his 3rd or 4th. This one about a haunted house is as bad as a campfire story being made up by kids! Couldn't take any more after forcing myself through 10 chapters. I think the wife made it to chapter 12! D-
Heart-shaped Box by Joe Hill - Joe is Stephen King's son. This story of a soul sold to someone for the purpose of vengence was OK and entertaining. B
Firestarter by Stephen King - This was a reread that I didnt' remember. I recorded the movie and wanted to read the book again first. Another good one from Stephen's younger days. A

667. Finally! Crawl back in you hole Ron Paul
I think Ron Paul has done enough harm to the Repubican Party. He may have had a few, very few, constructive ideas, but most of his proposed policies were totally off the wall. Some were catastrophic. So, Mr. Paul, we really don't need to hear you at the Republican convention. Goodbye. Your official pink slip is documented in this article.
666. Rollback Rx Virtual File can't be removed
Rollback Rx has a function where you can EXPLORE what is actually backed up in a snapshot. It does this by creating a VIRTUAL DISK (make believe, not physical, but appearing like one) that shows up under My Computer. Well, after it is created (a long time), a window asks if you want to view it or DISMISS it; it also states that it can be explored now by going to My Computer. Well, DON'T close that window. Because this is the only way to remove it from My Computer. I did, and hit the problem with it now residing there and no way to remove it. You would think Microsoft would the option to just EJECT it like a physical drive. Nope. It's the application's responsibility to give you a function to remove it.
Solution for Rollback Rx: Go back into Rollback and do a second EXPLORE of the SAME snapshot. It will immediately sense that the virtual disk (VDRIVE) exists and present you with the window that again allows you to DISMISS it. Do so. Voila.
You would think someone at Rollback would know this. Well, no. Not yet after about 3 days. The Rollback Community Forum flags this as a problem for a long time. After a lot of reading and many attempts to provide a solution, I finally found this solution there and thanked the provider.

665. *.chm file not working? Navigation canceled?
Here's an odd problem and workaround. Apparently Microsoft closed some security problems with an implementation that prevented .chm files from being accessed without proper installation/configuration/access. I had installed Rollback Rx to handle system backup and roll back if needed. However, when I tried to use its HELP it presented me with the HTML window to view the help with proper Contents/Index/Search on the left side, but an error message on the right side: Navigation to the Webpage was canceled. This led to 3-4 hours searching the Internet with no permanent solution that fixed the problem.
Some differences: My .chm file (help.chm) was on the local PC (mine of course) under rollback's main directory (Shield). The solution below applies to that. However, if your .chm file resides on your network server or the Internet, the workaround below will not work and my suggestion is to contact the application owner to get it corrected.
Workaround: Sometimes right-clicking the .chm file, selecting properties, and hitting the UNBLOCK button will resolve the problem. In my case, the system made it look like it took the UNBLOCK, but subsequent display of properties showed it did NOT. So, copy the .chm file to a different directory, e.g., My Documents, and now do the UNBLOCK. Display properties a 2nd time to ensure it took. If it did, clicking on the file will bring up the HELP window and everything will be working properly.
Note: this did NOT resolve Rollback Rx program code. Only the developers can fix it permanently by properly coding the file and installing/configuring it to run on your local machine.

664. People LIKE Ralph Lauren more than you Harry!
As reported in Post 662, Harry Reid jumped on the U.S. Olympic team for accepting blazers made in China under the Ralph Lauren name. This article clarifies how much the U.S. clothing manufacturing has changed, thanks to politicians who won't allow our businesses to competitive by not lowering their corporate tax rates! Looks like Boehner was also one of the OLD-minded politicians, along with Pelosi. Why don't we find politicians who understand the current world and businesses? That's why Romney needs to lead this country!

662. The Debt Woes are continuing to infest Asia now
South Korea is now showing signs of excessive debt and slow growth. Hold on to your hats for more currency wars and sluggish world economy. Is there any good news out there? Let's hope the Olympics are very successful and change a few attitudes.
661. Reid still crying
Post # 658 highlighted an article with Reid crying that the Olympic blazers were made in Japan -- insulting Ralph Lauren. Hmmm. Are the Olympics an American organization or a world organization? Now he's show his childish tantrums suggesting that Romney couldn'[t be confirmed as a "Dog catcher" because he hasn't released his tax returns. Like Eric Holder didn't release the Fast & Furious papers that included the murder of a Border Agent? How about that Reid! Overlook death and corruptness and insist on tax returns that Romney has already release to the public months ago. Good work Reid. Go steal more money for Nevada and buy more of their votes. People there should realize that there are better candidates out there for Nevada. We seriously need to remove the deadwood from Congress. Especially ones like Reid who become obstacles to progress. Go cry elsewhere Harry.
660. OBlunder still clueless re first 4 years.
Let's hope OBlunder maintains what he thinks has been his worst mistakes in his reign as president: Not good enough rhetoric to convince the people. This article claims he thinks it was his style and the way he presented things and NOT his policies that diminished his success of his presidency. In other words his CON-style wasn't effective against the majority of intelligent U.S. citizens. So, now he's upped his style and presentation to the minorities to pit them against the ones he knows he can't con! You know, if you ever ween the MAD magazine character, he resembles him closely. Even his attitude, "What me worry!" Looks like he's coming around though and is starting to worry. But, he'll have to shed the ears and get new ones before I ever look at him as someone other than the MAD star. I like the end when Rose questions whether he really means EXPLAINING to the people his policies. Basically, he answered, really INSPIRING them. Con all the way. Inspire people to like your BAD policies. If We the People show they like to be inspired rather than led in November, I need to pack my things. Truly there aren't that many dimwits out there.
659. Italy challenges Spain and others for lowest rating
Whoops! There goes another Senor. Italy had been downgraded below A-rating. Will it ever end in Europe? Much, much more depressing actions are forecasted. Still looking at September before any positive news comes out of the world to start the market up to new highs. Meanwhile, jump the bumps.
658. Instead of FIXING problems, Reid is causing more controversy
So, how would you rate a lawmaker who has the power to fix the job, economy, budget, and trade problems for the U.S. and instead IGNORES them and blames things now on the Olympic uniform manufacturer? Yes, like most of the products in the world, the Raulph Lauren blazers being worn by the Olympic team were made in China. What a surprise! I agree with Senator Reid that we should be buying more things made in the U.S.A., but doesn't he realize that we, the U.S., are part of a WORLD economy and corporation are no longer pegged to one country? Sorry, but these are the facts. So, how do we compete (the REAL solution) in the world? Is is still OK to rely on China as a major distributor of clothing -- other countries do! The solution is to cut corporate tax rates so we can compete and maybe get some of the work back to America! Democrats do NOT understand this. Our own government has consistently causing outsourcing problems for years because they are too stupid to understand how to compete and how to increase jobs. OBlunder, you need to reign in the deadwood in the senate and shake our the cobwebs. We are part of a much newer world than the old timers remember. We need NEW solutions. Grow up Reid! Or is it too late and you have regressed beyond hope? We the People DON'T see the label, you jerk, we see the uniform with the bright USA on it and the proud faces wearing them! Go spend some time on the budget you Democrats NEVER presented. And REPEAL Obamacare! Quit spending our money!

657. Ouch Spain
Austerity programs always hurt. But Spain has just committed to another Greece uprising with their latest measures of austerity: Increase Value Added Tax (VAT) on products and services AND cut unemployment benefits and civil services pay. Now, I'm not saying its all wrong. I kind of like the emphasis on GO BACK TO WORK rather than here's a welfare check, and I like the government paying less to THEIR employees to make their wages commensurate with the private sector. Whoa, am I talking about America or Spain? I saw some interesting statistics on the tube this past week correlating unemployment to the length of time the unemployed are allowed to get a check. In several nations, Denmark one of them, the mass of unemployed people get jobs ONLY when the duration of the welfare program ceases for them. In Denmark's case, they had a 5-year program and sure enough the charts showed that ONLY when the end of the 5 years was upon them did the unemployed get a job. When the cut the program back to 4 years, the people ONLY got a job when 4-years came around. This was consistent with other nations. Is our government interested in these statistics? Of course not, we are run by Socialists. My hypothesis has always been: Stop the hand outs and they will work! As far as increasing the VAT in a time when growth is just as important, I'm a doubter if this will help in any way other than making the government richer. This austerity change in Spain is going to cause rain on the plains! I don't know what the solution is -- I don't know the details. All I know is that we as investors and living in OUR economy need to understand what chaos is coming down the line -- from where and how much. Spain isn't doing us a favor and the ECB really needs to evaluate this last measure.
655. I'm a bit more optimistic re oil
Unlike Credit Suisse in this article, I feel the O&G industry will lead us out of the economic doom. I feel they do to, but they are choosing 2013 as the entry point to recovery of O&G. I have watched (not scientifically) the relationship of the dollar (needed to trade most O&G) to the oil prices and have observed that when the dollar is low, the oil prices are higher. I guess I figure that for the O&G corporations to maintain stable profits they must raise prices when the dollar drops and vice verse (just to give people the impression that they are nice). Not a proved theory -- at least I never proved it. But, we must now consider where the Gas products fit in the future economy versus oil products. The ratio has been changing. The demand for gas, now that its prices are still so low, have increased and O&G companies are expanding that business more than oil business. We hold mass quantities of gas. Some of our firms are already shipping gas overseas to China. from Alaska. Hello, OBlunder, WAKE UP CALL. So, instead of embracing the demanding market here to reach a goal of emergency dependency, the greed for money NOW is depending on foreign nations to but our products. When will we get our act together? Anyways, back to the issue. The demand for oil may be decreasing; thus, low demand lowers the price of oil. However, in the same step, gas demand is increasing; hence, higher prices are coming with it. Those corporations who have adjusted to this trend will continue to see better profits. Yes, maybe the oil commodity market will suffer some during the transition (10 years at least) to natural gas, but we are going to see a bumpy ride with oil producers fighting back before its over. I say oil will lead us back in 2012 because gas uses and facilities are not in the abundance necessary to rout oil all as once and nations need to produce! When politics subsides and the currency wars play out we'll be able to get a better picture.
654. Currency War III Continues with China
A little more insight is provided with this article on how China, after two rate cuts already in a single month, will be following up with additional "fine tuning" to induce more spending. The questions become what should their consumers spend it on and what can be done? As we already know, their labor market salaries are ridiculously low compared to ours. A lot of it is because the companies do NOT offer benefits, such as health and retirement. This further leads the Chinese to save more, instead of spending, to provide health and retirement protection. A double bladed sword -- very low wages and saving! It's like our welfare people, except they ARE working and helping China improve its production of exports. We learn from the article how both China's exports and imports have decreased. Changing rates to print more money (and devalue the yuan) is supposed to increase exports. However, this also makes imports more expensive. A tough situation. I agree with the article that the only solution is a long term solution. Unfortunately, the article ended short and gave no hints to the solution other than "fine tuning" is necessary. I would assume Chinese need to consume more of their products with their yuan -- they do not need more dollars inflating them; this is caused by us lowering our rates (printing more virtual dollars) and flooding their market with U.S. products (or Europe and England with theirs now that they are fighting to win the lowest rate war). I can only see raising wages and benefits being a solution in China. Now, will this ever happen? I doubt it. They can't just print more money (devalues yuan) to pay higher wages! It will have to be that the corporations need to make less profit to pay higher wages. Oh, right, the government holds the high stakes in all the corporations! The greed of the government needs to cease and democracy needs to prevail before we'll see China turn the corner. They climbed out to the last leaf on the branch -- CHECK! Can we expect the selling of assets and ownership and the beginning of a privatization movement? Let's watch.

653. Voter Photo ID's Required
WHY wouldn't anybody NOT have a photo voter ID? According to this article, Pennsylvania has 9% of their voters who don't have an ID! Come on folks. My mother who NEVER drove in her life had a photo ID from Pennsylvania! It certainly isn't hard to obtain! Now ask yourself why some people don't get a valid ID? Or claim they don't have a photo ID! Come on Democrats --- think! Now go back to the article and also the census information on PA and then do a little match to see if the 9% of ALL PA voters and 18% of the Philadelphia area majority black area are reasonable. Notice the apple and oranges comparison already? State-wide (All) vs. specific black area. The Census data tells you that only 11.3% of the state's population is black. Thus 9% of voters, or approximately only 1% of Pennsylvania's population did NOT get a photo ID (127,430 blacks state-wide). Now find Philadelphia's population (1.53M), percent black (43.4%) and take 18%, arriving at 119211 blacks just in Philadelphia. Conclusion using the 9% and 18% figures: almost all of the blacks in the state without a photo ID are in Philadelphia! Does this seem like a PHILADELPHIA problem then? If the problem is that concentrated, open a facility to take pictures and give out IDs IF the people have valid proof of citizenship and birth just like every other law-abiding citizen. What a joke to use Pennsylvania in another racial scandal. Just what is the NAACP trying to pull with data and propaganda like this? The issue ISN'T BLACK. If there are voters without a photo ID, it is about everybody. It just happens that Pennsylvania has had photo IDs, other than driver's license, for over 2 decades! Drop it and move on NAACP! Or, get the ones who need an ID in line with the proper data to get their photos and card. Quit starting racial scandals! Do you think maybe some just AREN'T CITIZENS?

652. Feds Offer $1 Million Reward for Alleged 'Fast and Furious' Killers
Well, they have suspects in Fast and Furious killing of our Border Patrol agent. The Justice Department is offering $1M reward. Wonder how much they are offering for an accomplice right under their nose? Hey Holder, how about the documents the House wants?
651. How the Fed. Gov't manipulates to give them a better image
Every wonder how the government spins the truth and what's right for We the People to better strengthen THEIR hand and NOT ours? Check out this article about how the latest law signed, the one to keep lower student loans and increase transportation construction programs, pays for the law by smoke and redirection of mirrors. In short, they also changed pension laws by declaring a rate companies should use to determine the funding of their plans. Instead of a low rate as we have seen the last two years, they have taken the average of the last 25 years which provides a higher rate. This higher rate translates into the private sector companies being able to contribute LESS to pension plans, but also means their tax write offs will be less, resulting in an assumed more tax revenue to the government to pay for the other things. Got it? Read carefully. So, what's the effect on you? Well, if you belong to a stellar company who still has a full pension program (not 402K), and that is about 15% of private sector, then you could see your pension fund get funded LESS than necessary (15% of the funds are already below requirements) and endanger you payout percent when you retire. A lot of IFs, AND,s, and BUT,s. Yet, this article describes the tricky ways We the People get manipulated to the government's benefit. I hope you do realize that in addition to the income taxes and sales taxes you pay, many more HIDDEN taxes are embedded in inflated product prices that you probably have no idea were put there. BEWARE.
650. Duh! The people being scammed are the ones voting too!
Sometimes I read about crime that may eventually result in good things. I am amazed that people who vote don't read and stay current with things. For example, Scams! It's not that the media does not report the basics of all scams; it's that people don't even listen to the news or read papers! Maybe if you get scammed on something as obvious as this scam, you'll start to take an interest in understanding the economic and political issues BEFORE voting. Those scammed are those who, like in elections, are suckered into believing they are working with a nice guy/gal. Sorry if you fell for this scam -- I just hope I;m wrong and you do NOT vote similarly on the basis of appealing rhetoric instead of the issues and facts.
649. Timmy. You still believing Europe can't hurt America?
Remember Timmy Geithner's comments re the European crisis not hurting America's economy? See posts #551 and 586. Well, here is another that disagrees with that assessment. John Williams, the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President, states "Europe is the most important "wild card" for U.S. growth, he said, and a crisis that escalates there could severely damage the U.S. economy." However, more important in this article is what the Federal Reserve, in particular Ben Bernanke, will bring to the table in the form of rate cuts (printing virtual money and more debt) which would lead to his target inflation rate of 2%. You hear me right. Since Europe, China, and England have turned on the presses for their currency, our defense in Currency War III is to lower our dollar similarly so we keep our exports selling abroad and, thus, can keep our employees working (NOT necessarily lowering unemployment). It's really sad that we have a Treasurer and President who can't see reality! Meanwhile, Brussels have kept the doors open for further ECB rate cuts beyond the latest one! Is this the rush to the bottom (lowest dollar value and lowest Euro value)? You know China is pegged to the dollar, so their currency drops accordingly without further action. Good time to plug a book I finished a while back: Read Mr. James Rickards' his book "Currency Wars, The Making of the Next Global Crisis." Well, we have the rest of the summer to weather out the currency storms -- must be Global Warming that causes the Wars. So, kick up that A/C and read more books until September comes and the market responds to the political moves by Ben and crew.
648. Thank You Mr. Perry
Rick Perry vows not to implement the setting up of health exchanges and expansion of Medicare stated in Obamacare. there are better ways to actually IMPROVE health care AND improve health care costs that Obamacare! Perry knows it, as do many other state governors still fighting the controversial parts of Obamacare. Insurance across state lines would raise the health pools (and risk pools) and make insurance companies more competitive. Obamacare does NOT provide competitiveness and will cost more. For those not on Medicare, take some time to understand that Medicare + supplemental insurance needed to make your coverage equal or a little better than before your ancient days, is NOT significantly less than you are paying today -- unless you get your insurance through work. We old seniors have the large monthly expenditure in our fixed income budgets to deal with until we part to better pastures. Some, like me, have pensions that DON'T increase ever per year, while health costs and insurance do! We need REAL help to lower health and health insurance costs (I'm only asking to lower the annual increases). Maybe the states can work out regional deals and get this accomplished since our federal government has given up! Go Perry and other governors fighting for US and NOT the party.
647. Ban What?
Take your pick: Join NYC in banning soda or Berlin in banning circumcisions. These are right on up there with mandatory health insurance ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court. As you can see, governments can get away with anything and the latest ruling by the Supreme Court just opened the door for exactly that -- ANYTHING! If it looks like a tax, costs you like a tax, and is collected like a tax, then it's a tax. I find NYC's ban real troublesome, but, who am I but one of the majority who agree the ban is ridiculous and costing his state a lot more than it will ever benefit from it. Banning >16 ounce drinks has NO affect other than hiring people in the local government to manage it. A little creativity by the establishments can get around it easily enough: sell smaller size with unlimited refills! Duh! Bloomberg is a nut case on this one! And Berlin! Wow, I wouldn't want to have to wait until I am old enough to consent and then remember going under the knife for a circumcision. Just snip it and let me grow up without the event's recollection. Das ist nicht richtig!

646. Pinocchio OBlunder Continues to Lie
OBlunder's nose continues to grow with his lies, this time caught by several fact watchers. His latest ads against Romney as an outsourcer are pure lies, as usual. He constantly preys on the uninformed by misinforming them to get votes. He continues to divide this country into as many ways as he can to garner support. Pathetic. I am surprised the media is finally reporting the lies. Maybe there is hope.

645. Is California Serious!
How many $m or $B in debt is California today? And now they approved another $4.5B for a rail project we all know is going to be 10x more! Plus, they are banking on the Federal Government, yes, the green stuff in my wallet and yours, to fund them another $3.5B. Another OBlunder handout! Thank Jerry Brown for putting California in deeper debt. A recommendation for my son living in California: stay away from the debt bonds that are going to be sold! I believe everybody can agree that a fast rail system in California would be nice. However, it just isn't practical given the debt of California already and the debt of the Federal Government. Wow, your kid's, kid's, kid's, kid's will still be paying for this rail if it ever even gets finished. Enjoy the construction mess! Well, one way to improve jobs is to BORROW money to support bridges to no-where.

644. Take a break and watch this video
Speaking the truth and a little comical is a video from Pat Condell re Bin Laden capture/death and U.S. butt-kissing in Pakistan. Funny, but so-o-o true. Enjoy this video.

643. Blogger Spell Check Broken Again
Sorry if words are misspelled in the last 2 weeks of blogs. This blogger's spell check does not work under Internet Explorer. All is fine under Firefox. Never a dull moment using Internet tools.
642. So, the Supreme Court plays its partisan games too.
Once again the Supreme Court voted there liberalism or conservatism, just like the political parties. This government's leaders are numb to the wishes of the people and Constitution. OBamacare can now continue to proceed after today's ruling that the controversial mandate is OK. However, it was stipulated that it IS A TAX! So you not so poor people who have just too much to get Medicaid, will be TAXED. No one expects them to get insurance sine a 1% of income fine is far less than health insurance for the year. Even starting 2015, a 2.5% fine is a joke and won't change the habits. Thus, we will continue to pay their medical expenses! How will they even enforce this? I'm sure they haven't a clue, but will hire hundreds of people, at our expense, to stir the mud. OBamacare needs to stop implementing things or we'll be another Greece. According to this article, America has become even more fiscally reckless since the last U.S. downgrade and we should expect another. I want to thank all the people who voted for Obama for destroying America!
641. Why Declare Sanctions?
How stupid this administration is. Declare sanctions on Iran and them void them with exceptions! OBlunder rather kiss China's butt yet again. Isn't it obvious to the public yet that OBlunder is playing the Chinese game instead of America's game? China has NOT proven to be an ally to negotiations with Iran -- just the opposite! We also play the currency war with China's rules for the same reason -- OBlunder still believes we can not offend China since they are a close ally to Iran and are "needed" for negotiations. Isn't it time we depart from the games and support to the world that isn't returning even a Thank You?

640. Let's just let them fight
Time to just ignore the idiot clowns in Syria -- both the regime and the rebels. Here the rebels attacked a radio station. This is like the liberals blowing up Fox news or the right blowing up a liberal press. This is insane! I think it is clear that neither side believes in an freedoms or rights. It has always been like that and will always be like that unless some friendly nation completely takes over. Didn't we learn our lesson in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now Pakistan. How about North Korea and Iran? How about China and Russia? This world is one big nut case. Now, if we can only keep our leaders' heads out of their arses.
639. Is OBlunder Contempt of Congress?
Republican Boehner is going forward to hold Holder Contempt of Congress. Should OBlunder also be held Contempt of Congress since he is also hiding the necessary documents via his stick (executive order). Maybe I need to rename OBlunder to OBully. When does Congress have enough of his crap? And what is with the Supreme Court too?

638. Go get them Texas (Immigration reform)
Arizona won some enforcement of immigration THEY can enforce even if the Federal Government insists they must keep their nose in it. In this article, Texas is destined to write its own immigration laws because the Federal Government isn't enforcing theirs. Go Texas!
637. Cry Baby OBlunder now wants to punish Arizona
Some of the Arizona immigration law survived the Supreme Court and becomes active today. But, NOT without cry baby OBlunder making it difficult for them to implement it and setting up hurdles for them to jump over. First he removed the local officers that were trained and put in place to enforce Federal laws. Then he set up a federal hot line for complaints. Plus, I am sure, he told his immigration offices to drag their feet when they get a call from Arizona to verify the status of someone. Then, fourth, only the Feds have a say on who should be held or not, meaning NO ONE. This war with Arizona will go on until OBlunder get sent south (wish it were Mexico)!

636. Currency War III continues
Today the ECB tweaked some of their rules that gave an appearance of making loans easier to obtain by broadening collateral requirements. Thus, by offering ways for banks to expand their loans. This resulted in positive news toward increased spending and was rewarded with stronger Euro. This in turn lowered the dollar and made our exports look even better. Now, the future news re the ECB lowering rates by 1/2% in July meeting will be their way to strengthen their export prices and manufacturers/producers. This should lower the Euro (more supply=lower price) and increase the dollar. Not what America wants with its high unemployment and stagnant economy. thus, as already noted in previous posts, Helicopter Ben will take his pennies up in helicopters and drop them across the country to lower the dollar, which will subsequently raise the Euro and move things back the other way. The net effect of currency wars that can last decades is net zero. It only cause volatility; and opportunities for investors who trade short-term. Fasten your seat belts -- the coster is nearing the first and steepest dropping peak. Of course the timing of the drop is planned for after the elections. Ben needs to keep his job and will make the climb as high as possible though.
635. I didn't know Al Gore had a new job
Apparently either Al Gore will be measuring the change in ocean depths this decade or he invented his own ruler to replace all the others in California. Here we go again Global Warming lovers: expect an extra half foot (no the sharks won't be feeding more) of water hitting the beaches of California by 2030. Hmmm, I will be how old? I'll be lucky if I can even touch my feet by then. Maybe babies will be banned from all beaches by then too, or polar bears will be body surfing in Malibu.
634. Politico cans reporter - FINALLY!
The last thing we need in this country is continuing racist comments by news media. Although Politico is not on my favorable reading list, it should be commended for removing Joe Williams from the public's eye by giving him the boot. I'd like to see this repeated for many others in the media who can't seem to keep race out the issues or want to edit the facts to mislead the public. Thank you Politico.

632. The rating cos. join the Currency War
Now we hear from another entity that affects investor's views -- Moodys. Here it is reported to be set to lower rating of major banks worldwide. On top of the dropping commodities and the Fed getting an extension of Twist to flood the market with dollars, the market is probably reacting accordingly: DOWN. I've read a few articles with conclusions that company earning re tracking fine, but, in all cases growth is NOT in the near picture. It is growth we need to get out of the hole (positive future, jobs, increased spending). We need this administration to stimulate GROWTH to generate a positive future for American businesses. Along with that comes future investments, hiring, spending. This is NOT the policy OBlunder takes though. He'd rather continue to want the Government to spend more to increase GDP. This has not and will not work. All governments in the world are faced with austerity spending measures. America has just been too dumb, too long to face the piper NOW. We are getting in dangerous water. I feel a new easing by the Fed, QE3 if you will, is NOT the way to go and will do nothing more than QE1 and QE2 have: nothing but a short-term spike that dissipates and leads to a worse state. Expect volatility -- ah, the summer heat brings out the market blues.
Ouch. Here are the downgrades reported after hours. I won't even pretend to know or understand the deal with derivatives and other impacts to the banks. If you understand, let me know.
Ouch. Here are the downgrades reported after hours. I won't even pretend to know or understand the deal with derivatives and other impacts to the banks. If you understand, let me know.
631. Jim Rogers tries to explain today and last 4 years
"Monetary and Fiscal Policies of the Last 4 Years Have Failed: Jim Rogers" tries to clarify the current fiscal policies of this administration and plans. His logic is pretty sound as his interview Jeff Macke also agrees. Ben's unfortunately is on deck! Watch his moves closely. Just printing money is NOT the solution. It only raises the debt more. Listen also to the subsequnt interview.
630. We don't need your stinking commodities
Commodities Fall . Oil, Iron Ore, other raw materials needed in the manufacturing process. Why would we need a lot if people can't afford the products? We don't. Thus, the demand goes down and the supply up, and, yes, the supply-demand laws drives the prices lower. Not all bad if you think about it. Now the manufacturers can reduce their costs and therefore product prices to appease the poor consumers. However, they can also not afford the extra bodies in the process lines that are no longer needed. What a predicament. Ben, Ben, save us.
637. Fuel for Helicopter Ben's Fire
"Manufacturing growth slows, labor market struggling" highlights Reuters here. Just what Mr. Bernanke was looking for to pop the cork on his $267B Twist expansion. The "fixed deck" has been chosen, the cards marked, and we wait only for the deal so we can play our hands -- or have our hands played for us. Currency War III started in 2010 and it's Ben's turn to deal after some of the other countries have already dealt their rate cuts or printed money. Our exports have become more expensive and spending worldwide has been reduced. Thus, our economy gets a double whammy. Companies will NOT hire in this environment. Now you can stimulate the companies by cutting the capital gains tax to put it in line with the other countries so our companies can afford the increased costs, or you can devalue the dollar to make our exports cheaper abroad. Well, since the world is hurting, the latter doesn't make much sense since they can't afford to spend more even on THEIR manufactured products. I doubt if anybody will accumulate debt. Thus, purchasing power is stagnant. However, Ben can not make the decision on corporate capital gains cuts. Guess who needs to? You got it, the anointed one and his partner in crime the Democratic led Senate. This will never happen. So, we will see Ben spring and we will see the market respond upwards and then crater later before fall because nobody abroad can spend more. thanks Ben. Thanks OBlunder. Just once can you do something right and make this prediction wrong?

636. The Dems continue to support Holder coverup
I guess I'm not surprised that the Democrats in the House Over-Sight committee, who asked for all the documents needed to investigate Fast and Furious Scandal, voted to support Holder indicating that it was OK NOT to turn over the requested documents. Now the Attorney General is just a few hours away from Contempt of Congress, as should all the Democratic members of that committee. Geez. All the committee AND public wanted is a just look at the people behind Fast and Furious. For over 18 months Holder has IGNORED the House. Maybe he thinks he still has more time to delete or edit documents before someone gets their hands on them. Holder needs to go, as does Geithner and OBlunder and all his administration. Here's the news on the committee's vote. This administration is So-o-o CORRUPT.
635. MSNBC gets caught with pants down AGAIN
Here's how the liberal MSNBC lies to get its viewers believing Romney isn't up for the job. Well, in this world MSNBC should know whatever they film out in public is probably being filmed by someone with a cell phone too. Zing. The cell phone video shows what really happened, whereas, MSNBC edited their film to make it derogatory for Romney! What fools MSNBC and other liberal media are!

634. It's an Aqua One Foul Ball
"It's an Aqua One foul ball" is a saying the announcer's at the local baseball team announces every time the ball is hit foul. I suppose OBlunder is saying that his foreign policy and policies and plans for both the U.S. and world economics is off limits when he travels. Well, that makes them off limits ALL the time, doesn't it. Where did he dream up this nonsense that Romney can't comment about his foreign policy? OBlunder is really pathetic. Thing is, the world already know that Romney is correct and just stating so in their papers!
"President Obama's advice to the Germans and Europe has…the same flaws as his own economic policy - that it pays for itself over the long term if we focus on short-term business promotion."
"These recommendations are not only unwise," Hubbard wrote, "they also reveal ignorance of the causes of the crisis and of a growth trend in the future," Hubbard writes. "Long-term confidence in solid government financing shores up growth and enables the same scope for short-term transitional assistance. Mitt Romney, Obama's Republican opponent, understands this very well and advises a gradual fiscal consolidation for the U.S.: structural reform to stimulate growth."
This is a FOUL? This is reality! He should just take his mitt and learn to catch foul balls and stop telling others not to hit them. He is really showing what a loser he is worldwide! What a cry baby.

633. Welcome to the real world OBlunder
I guess you CAN'T lie when the world's press groups hear what is going on. Here OBlunder FINALLY admits (Collin Power needs to join him) some reality, although clueless also:
"President Obama said today that China are Russia are not aligned with the United States and its allies when it comes to resolving the escalating crisis in Syria" DUH! WE KNEW THAT LONG AGO.
"I do not think they condone the massacres that we've witnessed"... THINK? YOU DON'T KNOW?
"The U.S. continues to say that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad needs to go, but Russia and China have so far refused to turn their backs on their ally." NOTE: ALLY HERE DOES NOT MEAN US.

632. We can work out our differences, huh OBlunder?
Looks like OBlunder and Putin could NOT work out their differences re Iran nuclear mess and the beat goes on as it has throughout OBlunder's reign - oh how I love the anointed one (NOT)! Read for your self about the results of the latest negotiations with Iran here. Did anybody really believe it would result any other way than NO ACTION and NO Scheduled next meeting? A lot of talk and NO ACTION OBlunder!
631. So, the Private Sector is doing FINE, huh OBlunder?
According to Reuters, the job openings in April hit a 5-month LOW. And OBlunder reports the Private Sector is doing FINE? Just where does he get his information? Isn't it bad enough he can't even lead with correct information? Now he doesn't even bother to check if what he is saying is based on anything real! Do show this clown the boot in November and clear his administration out of the White House. Throw in lots of senators and representatives too. Good thing Helicopter Ben is warming his engines so he can keep his job (Romney will can him). Curring rates, another stimulus, will 'MAKE" things look better for OBlunder in his dream campaigm for reelection. Unfortunately for the astute, this will be FALSE increases and hopes. How do you get the OBlunder Sheeple to understand how they are being manipulated for votes and NOT their liberties and protection?
630. OBlunder, STAY OUT!
What do you advise the president to do when another nation (IRAQ), who has contributed NOTHING to our cause of liberating them and rebuilding them, ask for political favors that would affect American private industries (Exxon) from competing in the world oil explorations (Kurdistan Region)? Do you FORCE your will ILLEGALLY onto Exxon and hurt an American company or companies or continue playing games with a country who ABANDONED US, but now wants to cry WOLF? STAY OUT of it OBlunder! Keep an eye on this issue to see if OBlunder again bends at the waist and kisses butt. REF: this article.
629. Helicopter Ben is Returning
Sometimes I hate when people agree with me. Carol Pepper discusses her views in this article re Ben Bernanke providing more stimulus to the economy before the election. NOT what we need. Are we that desperate that we need to punish the world by lowering our dollar (what happens when we print more money or lower rates) so we can gain more of the world's money (our exports become cheaper and our private sector will expand). Yes, our unemployment is still too high because the world's spending is weak due to the European crisis (Europe is one of largest U.S. importers). So, let's provide them cheaper products (by pennies) and hurt their manufacturers and producers in longer term. Thus is the CURRENCY WARS going on. We saw Europe print money, China lower rates, Australia and England lower rates, etc. Printing money or lowering rates is how a country tries to get an advantage in the trade market and it boosts their economy TEMPORARILY and SHORT-TERM only. Other countries just counter the currency printing similarly to influence EXPORTS. The relationship of a countries GDP factors in Consumer Spending (C), Government Spending (G), Investments in private sector (I) and Net Exports (E-I) where I=Imports. Thus, if you can get the consumers to spend (C) more because unemployment is too high, housing low, etc., and the people are already screaming that government is too big and spending too much (G) and the private sector isn't exactly believing the future is good enough to hire and expand (I), then the only way to increase GDP is to increase net exports (E-I); i.e., GDP=C+G+I+(E-I). How is this done. Manipulate the currency - done by the Central Banks (which included the Federal Reserve). Ben controls the U.S. Central Banks and has the tools to manipulate. So, get ready for the next spike to OUR economy, later countered by other countries, until everything is again balanced and we all accumulate more debt and punish our future generations more and more. When will the Currency Wars break the world? Or our Country? I haven't a clue. Does a hole we continually dig really end in China? Some believe the gold standard or something similar must return to stabilize the ridiculous currency wars. Mr. James Rickards in his book "Currency Wars, The Making of the Next Global Crisis" appears (haven't finished it yet) to be leading to that conclusion along with an international currency to cover the natural resources (now denominated in dollars). His book is an amazing read and clarifies all my assumptions and theories re the currency wars, trade wars, and natural resource hoarding.

628. Now OBlunder also believes Russia is our ally?
Here's two articles to get you thinking.
In article 1, "OBlunder says [note, his CONCLUSION] that tensions can be worked out with Russia. In the article it states that "Obama says the U.S. and Russia agree that a political process needs to be created in Syria in order to "prevent civil war."
Article 2 , the same day as article 1, then states a few troubling facts and unknowns:
- "U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton issued a harsh reprimand of Russia last week, when she said that Moscow "dramatically" escalated the crisis in Syria by sending attack helicopters there."
- " Two Russian navy ships are completing preparations to sail to Syria with a unit of marines on a mission to protect Russian citizens and the nation's base there...Each ship is capable of carrying up to 300 marines and a dozen tanks..."
- "Syria is Russia's last remaining ally in the Middle East, and has been a major customer of Soviet and Russian weapons industries for the last four decades, acquiring billions of dollars worth of combat jets, helicopters, missiles, armored vehicles and other military gear."
- "Russia also has an unspecified number of military advisers teaching Syrians how to use Russian weapons, which make up the bulk of Syrian arsenals."
- "Asked if the Pentagon is concerned about the plan, officials in Washington said it depends on the mission."
We aren't SURE about their mission? This makes me comfortable, OBlunder , particularly, that "tensions can be worked out." When is this administration going to admit its NOT leading AND NOT connecting the dots (Russia, China, etc.). Do we need need to get a 5-year old in that can connect the dots for him? Do we need CONSISTANT LIES? Does he have to continually show he isn't up on the major world situations?

627. Enlightening Articles Re Europe Crisis,Trade, and O&G
The Contrary Indicator put out an article today that was enlightening. It declared that Europe is close to NOT being America's largest trade partner. According to them, the U.S. has being increasing trade with Canada and Mexico and some other countries outside Europe to the extent that what they are losing in Europe they have gained elsewhere. This is a bit of good news re the impact Europe's crisis and lower spending programs will have on America's exports. Let's hope this is true.
Another enlightening article was one with comments from Daniel Yergen, an expert in the O&G field. He explains the use of fracking to capture more oil in North Dakota and other western hemisphere countries making America less dependent on Mideast oil. Previous posts had already mentioned the venture Exxon has with Russia. This included the fracking process in Siberia and will increase their supply also.
Private Industries to the rescue. It may still be too high expense for all oil & gas concerns to start fracking, but if countries like America and Russia provide the tax cuts necessary to exploit the new technologies OPEC will be pressed also to respond with cheaper oil. Lots of work on the government policies is needed. This probably won't be realized with OBlunder in charge.
I still believe O&G will lead the market to higher levels. But, when?

626. Sheeple Spanic
Well, did you heed post #621 re turning on the Euro presses in order to have money to loan to Spain, or are you now in Spanic (Spain Panic) mode after today's Moody DOWNGRADE because you bought high again? I hope you understood #621 that for a nation to hand out money as a loan they first need money, hence, will print more. This in turn devalues their currency more because their is now more money (Euros in this case) floating around. In this case Spain gets to tack it on to its debt as well as Europe adding to its debt. Even more debt when you can't pay the existing debt means only one thing: higher risk (the yield on bonds were higher). Thus Spain's ability to pay back the debt has become harder AND longer. So, they next generation or two gets to pay this last debt back.
Why am I stressing all this? Because America already has high debt and has already been lowered by rating agencies. Ant further debt, from spending or bailouts will put us in the same position Spain is seeing (or Greece, Portugal, Ireland, soon Italy, etc.), i.e., expect a rating downgrade. THIS is what will crush the markets and our lives for yet a LONGER period of time and leaving bills for our future generations. Get it now? Kiss your nest egg goodbye if we don't get a RESPONSIBLE president and administration AND Congress in place this November.
Sorry, prayers won't help. Only action will! Stop being a Sheeple and understand the issues before you and their consequences. Or, be a Sheeple and continue arguing that the rich (those understanding the issues) are creating a larger gap (they already know how to win in either case). So, will you be a Welfare Crier and ignore the problems already here today, or someone who strives to exit the Welfare herd and support plans to get us out of this hole OBlunder keeps digging? Its time the media starts reporting truths and misleading the people. The media is NOT your Shepard! Nor is OBlunder!
As I type, the Asian markets have already dropped absorbing the latest bad news in Europe.

625. Somebody Tell Collin Powell Russia is NOT a friend
How many articles have been written since Collin Powell claimed that Russia isn't our foe, but our ally? Is this what an ally would do Collin: Give Attack Helicopters to the regime in Syria who is massacring its civilians? Looks like they picked their friend. Was this a surprise? Certainly for Mr. Powell! The question becomes: Are we stirring up a bee hive opposing every country Russia is in bed with? Just what is the plan Stan (another name for OBlunder)? This is getting as bad as the Roswell UFO.

624. Adding refrigerant to car A/C
Surprise, these instructions aren't always correct! So were the instructions on the AC PRO Refrigerant I added to my 2003 Subaru. The instructions stated to not undercharge or overcharge and to ensure the final pressure lies within the range on the gage. Well, it never made it to that range on the first can. So I bought a refill and same thing was happening. Turns out after calling their hot line that some cars have an expansion valve on the system (like on your hot water heater) to relieve pressure too high for the car's A/C design. The Subaru was one of them obviously. So, the atmosphere got half of what I tried to put in -- thankfully, it is only clean synthetic refrigerant now. Thus, beware of AC PRO instructions or any refrigerant instructions that don't tell you to STOP adding when pressure stabilizes. Live and learn. Next time I'll consult the Subaru manuals too.
623. WOW The New York Times finally gets it
This article from The New York Times finally declares the pain to We the People. as of 2010. They finally reported the facts between 2007 and 2010: Net Wealth average down to $77K from $126K, income down 7.7%, savings down to 52% (from 56.4%). Maybe I missed previous articles from them, but I can't seem to remember any. Their heading was that the 2010 Net Worth was actually back to that of the early 90s. Maybe I didn't read it carefully enough, but the facts they presented were only between 2007 and 2010. So be it. It's bad anyways. I'm sure they want to lead with a heading, at least, that included Bush year. Well, surprise, I agree that Bush also overspent carelessly. But, we investors did get the Bush Tax cuts that kept us afloat AND SPENDING to keep the economy alive. That continues today. NOT a smart move by the spenders who continue to rack up debt that will kill them -- or us if bailouts are granted -- in the future. I see the Times CONCLUDED that three quarters of the net worth during this time frame was due to the housing crash. My house isn't down! I'm sure they are referring to the critical areas like CA, Florida, and Nevada and applying the percentage there to the overall average net worth everywhere. Who know for sure; I can only conclude this based on their always liberal-biased news. As a matter of fact, I don't even know why this article was published. Where did the data come from and is it consistent with the dates provided? Oh, I love the media. What was the intent? Why wasn't 2011 data included? Because it made everyhing look better? What purpose did this article serve?
622. Amazing. Market is getting smarter.
I'm surprised that the investors finally learned that "temporary" and "artificial" aren't reasons for taking the market up. Instead, it took it down. As I stated in the previous post, wait till 3pm EDT to see what the impact of the Spin news would be. The major downturn started at 1:30 with 3pm signaling DUMP. And it did to the tune of 1.2%. This is GOOD. The market already anticipated the Spain news a few days ago (up) and now took out the suckers who thought they'd buy on the news (down). We're where we should be, pending more Chinese bad news and Greece news. The Summer is still upon us! Hold tight.

621. Turn on the Euro Presses
Get your boots on ladders out. The boots are for sloshing through the $100B+ Euros that will be loaned to Spain, and the ladders are to reach the market's open Monday when the artificially short-term fix begins. Plus, we'll have an Apple for lunch when they review their new products. Looks like a quick lift. Reuters article nets it out pretty well. For those in the West Coast, no need to get up early for the action, the market should already open up high -- the normal 3pm EDT will tell the story.
620. So Sad My Predictions are coming true!
Well, here's the latest re U.S. Sales as a result of the European Crisis (Pay attention OBlunder and Geithner): Expecting 2.2% (1.9% without Apple) growth when the AVERAGE has been 7.3%! A year ago it was 11.1 (3Q) and 13..6% (2Q. Timmny you got this so-o-o wrong. And, OBlunder, the private sector is NOT doing fine as you claimed! Our leaders ... so-o-o SAD.

619. OBlunder says Private Sector IS DOING FINE
Caught again OBlunder! Is he really this out of touch that he believes the Private Sector growth is doing fine? Does he not realize that we are still BEHIND in needed JOB GROWTH despite some growth? How clueless can you be? This is a guy with a law degree from Harvard? I'm thinking he needs to prove that too. It's hopeless with OBlunder at the helm.
In this other article, check out chart 4 "Profit growth before taxes" and chart 5 "Corporate Cash Flow" and you tell me whether the private sector is growing or stagnant?
Duh! Garbage In, Garbage Out Administration.
In this other article, check out chart 4 "Profit growth before taxes" and chart 5 "Corporate Cash Flow" and you tell me whether the private sector is growing or stagnant?
Duh! Garbage In, Garbage Out Administration.
618. OBlunder: Blame, Blame, Blame
OBlunder wants to pin all his failures, plus future failures , on Congress. I agree that Congress is a piece of crap too, but to propose something over and over and over hoping Congress will accept his lousy ideas is NOT leadership. It's BLAME. OBlunder needs to just keep his mouth shut if he can't lead! In this article his push for same old stimulus package is the issue. Seriously folks, the guy has NO clue what's going on in the economy and how to run this country.
617. Yahoo! News Backfire
Check out this dumb article by Yahoo! News Daily Caller. You are asked to vote for the dumbest quote of the week from a choice of 3 AND Joe Biden, OBlunder, and the entire Liberal Base was excluded. Well, I wanted to vote for the author! Apparently, everybody else did too ... see the comments at end of article. Bravo people. Blast the Dumbest Media!
616. Bring on the Clowns instead of UNITY
So, it's fine that Santorum and Paul bring their delegates to the big show, but to duke it out? Just what is THIS article implying? Is this important news? Or just something to get people's panties in a bunch? Paul is a lunatic. Santorum a whiner. They may have a FEW points that aren't totally accepted by Romney that are worth considering. But, just a VERY FEW! Get over it Paul and Santorum ! It's time to do what's right for the Party. As for the Media, they are a hopeless cause!

615. Bernanke Wants to Keep His Job
The markets rose yesterday and, so far, today because China is cutting its rates to stimulus its weakening economy. In other words, the Yen goes to press, weakens its currency, makes the dollar look stronger, strengthens their exports, weakens our exports. The heading I chose was about Bernanke. Why? Because Gov. Romney already said he's can Bernanke if he became president. Thus, he wants to keep his job and has been already hinting that he'll react and do something for the ECONOMY -- right, he meant HIS JOB. I have already predicted he'll do something as early as July to ensure America's markets, and thus our Mutual Fund, pension funds, and stock goes up and makes it look like we're better off. Don't associate an up market with an up economy! Of course I'm talking to the choir since the majority of people have no clue what I am referring to and will feel warm and fuzzy with their artificial increase in wealth as a reason to believe OBlunder that things have turned around. I'm not saying more money is not good, but it will be a temporary joy, because long-term you just inherited more debt, the nation's already too much debt. That will bring the pain twice the joy you going to feel now! Oh, the game of politics. Meanwhile, watch China manipulate the currencies and their market. This article is about China, but also states Bernanke's likely move.

614. China and Russia Setting Up for Kill
Isn't anybody else worried re:
- China using their wealth to buy up all the raw commodities so they can use cheap resources to grow in a slowing economy, versus America that can't even drill oil to get out of the claws of OPEC? [OIL, IRON OR, COPPER, GOLD, etc.]
- Russia defining and throwing $500B at an Arctic oil drilling venture? [OIL]
- Russia and China talking about joint military operations? [MILITARY]
- Russia testing long-range missiles because America wants to install missile defense systems in Europe? [MILITARY]
- Russia and China continuing to veto sanctions on Syria and North Korea? [MILITARY]
- China continuing to subsidize steel, aluminum, and other manufactured products [TRADE and ECONOMY]
- China ignoring requests to devalue their currency to allow competitive trade between countries? [TRADE, ECONOMY, FINANCIAL]
- China and Russia buying gold and curtailing investment in American debt? [FINANCIAL, ECONOMY]
I could continue on, but I hope you see the pattern: Raw Commodities, Manufactured construction and development products, banking system.
You control those, you control the world! Instead of thinking about these and planning, OBlunder rather take his butt on campaign tours and Congress continues its bickering about ridiculous small things like Student Loans. I say, CUT the Corporate taxes a lot and let America's private sector grow and get it's control back! We can't compete financially when our businesses are failing or at least limping along. What's the media doing? Well, STILL covering Romney's 50-year old bullying, OBlunder's book indicating he smoked pot and took drugs, women rights (really?), etc. Are these more important than what Russia and China is setting up to do? It's time the MEDIA focuses on IMPORTANT issues ONLY! It's time to report to the People!

613. Big Bad Wolf Going to Vegas Tomorrow
Watch out Vegas. The Big Bad Wolf is going to huff and puff and blow your house down. That's what OBlunder's speech tomorrow will be re Educational Loans. According to the article here, he just wants to repeat, and repeat, huff and puff, about why his proposal re Educational Loans is right and the Republican suggestions are wrong. Note that the Republicans are still waiting for his response to theirs, but, instead, he keeps campaigning to deliver his "thoughts" instead to the public. Waste of tax payer money and time. As the article explains, the outcome is agreed upon. It's where the money comes from to fund it that is different. Way back on April 27th, post #566, I blogged the details of the differences. Does this lengthly dispute say something about Congress and the President? Both must be cleaned up. I am not satisfied with a Republican Senate leader who constantly cries foul and does nothing except forward something and forget about it so he can blame somebody else. ALL leaders plain suck in this current government. We the People will NEVER get the truth about all the delays -- we just get reports of NO OUTCOMES. Well, I propose a new INDEPENDENT watchdog, consulting group to overlook the import bills in Congress and FORCE the TRUTH AND ACTIONS. The HOUSE writes the bills related to spending, so Boehner, get something passed and move it along to the next joker Reid. Can't anybody work together? Time to FIRE CONGRESS and the president (the buck stops with OBlunder)!
612. TY OBlunder for Helping Scott Walker Win
Remember all the governor races and Senator races where OBlunder thought he could help, only to lose? Here's another. The recall vote may have been closer had OBlunder stayed out of it. Now Jay Carney is spinning his top to play down the, yet another, loss for team OBlunder. For those who have not read Mitt Romney's book, "In His Own Words" I recommend it for a very quick view of Romney's opinions and plans for America. It's high level but covers EVERY important issue you can think about. People are starting to see the truth in OBlunder! And, it isn't good.
611. Bush Tax Cuts
Jay Carney essentially asks: Is the press stupid, or what? Apparently Bill Clinton said on CNBC that the Bush Tax cuts should probably be left alone and decision on whether to extend them without wealthiest participating held off until early next year. They are set to expire completely January 1 BEFORE the new president gets sworn in. In other, my opinion of what he said, was to temporarily extend them as is and then early next year debate whether they should be permanently extended as is or modified to exclude the wealthiest. I'd buy that decision as the correct one. Of course OBlunder and the Democrats want to spin Clinton's comments instead since they want to let them expire in full January 1! Seriously OBlunder, aren't YOU the stupid one this time? I think the press got it right: Bill Clinton disagrees with you on the timeline to take action. Yes, he agrees with you on the principal of excluding the wealthiest, but isn't that Democratic Party opinion and not necessarily his? Of course he wouldn't stray from the Party! He just accidentally slipped in HIS opinion re the timeline, losing track of the Party theme. Read this article and decide for yourself. There are really TWO issues: 1) Should Congress let the Bush Tax Cuts expire entirely on January 1? 2) Should they be TEMPORARILY extended until the Congress under the new president can debate modifications? However, both the Republicans and Democrats (+OBlunder) want to play the game BEFORE the election and could care less about us on January 1. The Republicans want the cuts PERMANENT PERIOD, whereas the Democrats are OK with the cuts IF THEY EXCLUDE WEALTHIEST. Come on Congress. Easy decision. Why must politics ALWAYS be played before elections or any other deadline that will impact We the People? BAD LEADERSHIP! As far as Jay Carney: STUPID. They insist in talking around ACTIONS and LEADERSHIP necessary to get job done and, instead, create yet another divisiveness by pitting the Democrats Against the Republicans, and hence, keep you all hot and bothered and on your on side of the fence. Time to COME TOGETHER.
610. Colin Powell, Have you questioned your Russian comment yet?
I must ask Colin Powell once again: Are you serious that Russia is not more of a foe than an ally? Previous posts repeatedly confirmed that his crazy statement that Russia was not our enemy and that they were our ally. Here is another. Should we be concerned? YES. And, where is OBlunder again? In his closet! Now we are seeing the real allies: Russia, China, North Korea, Syria, Iran. When are we going to listen for the pop and keep our head out of our arse? Are we going to wait before it's too late? Get OBlunder OUT of the White House!
609. Spain and EU sucking it up - Congrats
What would be negative news for the Socialists of the world who need Welfare -- sound like OBlunder and our Democrats? -- was positive for the markets today. NO stimulus action for Spain AND Spain not looking for one. The statement coming out of the ECB was: "I don't think it would be right for monetary policy to fill other institutions' lack of action," said ECB President Mario Draghi, suggesting there would be no more long-term lending to banks unless governments come up with solutions" so reports Reuters in this article. I am hoping they can agree to austerity measures as needed, at which point, there may be some stimulus money to award them short-term. Mucho gracias.
608. Congrats Gov. Walker
The Wisconsin recall vote goes to Gov. Scott Walker reports the AP in this article: "With nearly all precincts reporting, Walker had 53 percent of the vote, compared with 46 percent for Barrett. The margin of victory was wider than many expected and slightly better than Walker's 5.8 percentage-point victory over Barrett in the 2010 race." Note a percentage even higher than the original election in 2010. He must be doing what the PEOPLE WANT! Yet, Walter Shapiro of Yahoo! News had to spin a negative article on his victory (the liberal press view) to please the OBlunder audience and provide free OBlunder campaign advertising. What a disgrace the Media is. Congrats Gov. Walker. Let's now see Wisconsin go with Gov. Romney too.

607. Oh Jolly Comment OBlunder
Obama says the queen is a "living witness" to the power of the alliance between the U.S. and Britain. Now that's praise I'd like to hear about myself -- that I'm old and only sat and watched the world spin. Better no comment than something like this. Once again, OBlunder didn't have teleprompter notes from someone else more mature. When you review this article, be sure to read all the comments. Surely he could have found something more flattering! Guess that's all you can expect from someone who practiced this all his life.

606. I believe women are much smarter than OBlunder believes
This liberal article from the new Yahoo liberal press again illustrates that the liberals MUST flood the news channels each day even when they have no factual or pertinent news. According to this article, OBlunder is pushing congress to pass a bill to ENSURE there are equal wages for both sexes. I have no problem with equal wages for burger flippers, janitors, assembly lines, etc. But, when it comes to professional jobs where aggressiveness, extra hours, experience, risk, etc. is involved, we need to pay whomever is most qualified the most. Having been a manager for a large computer firm, I can attest that it had guidelines for ANYBODY within a pay scale range. The individual manager managed his/her own employees ensuring that each had a performance plan, reviews, and future growth steps to move them up the scale and finally into a promotion to a new pay scale range. There were NO differences between sexes. So, I find it real difficult believing the OBlunder train that's trying to use railroading techniques to simply cause controversy and divert the IMPORTANT issues of the ECONOMY from his poor leadership. I believe that if you talk to women executives, you'll get a different picture of how they got to that position -- that being, higher salaries than others, male or female. They obviously put in the time and had the skills. Women definitely have the opportunity and smarts to excel in everything. Unfortunately, they still have the majority of focus in the family department. It's there where the males have not stepped up! You can't resolve that with a bill for equal wages. It's like, how do you keep you kids out of gangs? It starts with the family! You can't write a bill to keep kids out of gangs. So, here we go again with the game of politics. OBlunder and his Liberal Media both campaigning together. Yahoo joined his side when it agreed on serving ABC on its platter. Let's all stay focused on ECONOMY, JOBS, FOREIGN POLICY.
605. Snapshot of European Banking Crisis
-- Greece, Portugal, Ireland and now Spain in toilet.
-- The EU leaders in January (Germany, France) pushed for more EU control of banks before just throwing money at them
-- The same issues exist today with no change
-- Spain, hit by high debt and high credit rates now pleading for a European Union to overlook the important banks
-- Merkel (Germany) has no problem with one for a long-term solution as long as the organization gets some CONTROL over the banks and not just a slush fund to bail out banks. Thus AUSTERITY programs by individual countries MUST be implemented
-- Thus, the June 28 EU summit will again thrash the same solutions but with more countries in the toilet
-- What is the short-term solution? Someone will bail out Spain, like Greece and others, financing more debt at lower rates, and the EU will get another 3 months to rehash the same old things.
As a retired consultant I find this appalling that the leaders can't COMMIT to a scheduled week long meeting that only ends (Yes...never-ending if solution not agreed on) with a documented, agreed upon short-term and long-term solutions. So far, they only agree to we'll-think-about-it or come-back-with -more-detailed-plans next time or we-agree-with-this-while-you agree-with that. What a sad world! As I said in previous posts, don't expect any solution (real solution) before July. Also said, don't doubt our Fed will sit on its hands to wait on a solution before it jumps on the stimulus wagon again. Expect a political move before elections sometime in July to flood the market with false dollars that the new president will have to eat.

604. And you wonder why CA and nation has high debt?
Check out the PENSIONS for firefighters and policemen in CA here -- $95,336 per year. I would imagine health benefits also go with that. Any other middle class individual getting a pension like that? I commend them for realizing how to benefit from the foolish governments who extend pensions like this. I am sure they did their jobs well and for the period of time to guarantee such a pension. However, this is taxpayer robbery in its finest. What law makers ever passed these laws? And watch, CA will need a bailout from the U.S. Government to pay their debt they rand up because of foolish pensions like this. What a screwed up state CA is! One could always adjust this pension based on cost-of-living in CA compared to his/her state to feel a little better, but I bet you still aren't close. Shame on the law makers, not the firefighters and policemen. However, it is time they start paying their FAIR SHARE, Right Blunder? Not just the rich! Or are you counting them rich yet? NO bailouts for CA! Let's try a little Greece austerity measures.

603. Hide until the end of June
Talk, talk, talk. It's all in Spanish, German, French, or some other European language. Hard to understand the details or progress in the Europen Crisis, except for the continued deadlines meetings in the future which, we all know, are not deadlines but a dates that will get extended. Granted, Europe is a bit different than America. It has tried to utilize a common currency across Sovereign countries -- we only needed to do it across states, which are all part of U.S. Soverignty. The new Europe is in its infancy, just like America was before the America Revolution. Who knows how long it will take. We should certainly be able to use our history to anticipate the complexity and woes to get Europe unified, at least its banking systems. I believe the deadlines are a bit too optimistic and everybody (separate Sovereign nations) are always in react mode when the larger, more influential nations, such as Germany, want to address things as a whole. Let's hope for no REAL rebellions, because Timmy Geithner was wrong -- Europe's crisis does affect us! I'll concede that a worldwide stimulus might be the only solution to allow enough time to get the heads together and get a logical process rolling to address the future long-term. A failure cannot be permitted at this time and individual failures must be addressed and mitigated in the future's plan. The U.S. markets are feeling the pain already. Will our Fed act BEFORE the world? I believe if the world doesn't react together, a premature stimulus here will be nothing bu a quick flame, like throwing a cup of fuel on a fire without adding adding any substantially sustainable fuel along with it. We are in for a long summer. The next EU Summit is June 28 (there goes June down the toilet) meaning the chit-chat and no actions until at least September. Will this administration do anything other than talk?
602. Lost jobs, lost revenue, lost resources
Once again, instead of leading from the front, this administration insists that they should lead from behind. Back in post 455 I cited an article that stated Exxon joined the Russians in a $500B venture to drill in the Arctic (this was April 18th). The multi-national U.S. based companies can NOT wait for our government to play its childish lead-from-behind game. Post #455 highlighted the jobs and dollars lost by America with Russia taking the lead to drill in the Arctic. Does this now make Exxon a target on OBlunder's Enemy List? Watch, it will! Now, Hilliary comes out and wants the Worldwide organization to COOPERATE and play fairly. It's a capitalistic world Hilliary and OBlunder. You either lead or follow. Guess which one they are! Playing fairly would be nice IF everybody has already agreed upon the rules. What makes this administration believe that it can make up the rules for the world? It's time to ACT FIRST. When you own a piece of the rock, it's much easier to help make up the rules. When you don't, and somebody else owns the rock, you get the scraps if anything. thanks OBlunder for throwing us in the alley like a bunch of junk-yard dogs. Isn't it amazing that this administration doesn't even know or want to work with it's own companies and businesses. OBlunder and friends need to move to some Socialist European country and tuck themselves under a blanket. This is disgusting! Lost jobs, lost government income, and lost natural resources! President Romney wouldn't have let this slip by!

601. Mitt, why didn't you take Letterman along?
Mitt Romney made an unscheduled stop at Solyndra to make a speech outside the front gate to let America know how their $500M was wasted by the Obama administration. Back in post #596 I mentioned that Letterman was clueless re the real facts behind Solyndra. Doesn't that want to make you gag? But, the clueless will continue to believe the clueless! doesn't that make you angry? I just pray the Informed don't let the Uninformed get their way again in November. I just can't get my hands around why Hollywood stars are so clueless. Or are they just ornery and need to disagree with the Informed public -- to be contrary? Does that make them feel superior? Time to slap them awake in November.
600. Thanks Hillary ... maybe you should call Colin Powell
Thank you Hillary for clarifying the relationship we have with Russia, even if this article is only about Syria. Don't forget to call Colin Powell and remind him that tea with Russia is more than drinking tea and listening to them. If you missed Powell's comments re Russia, look back at previous posts.

599. Good Quote
“Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”

So, tell me
again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't
think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 41 months -- so you'll
have about 7 months to come up with an answer. Every statement in this email is
factual and directly attributable to Barrack Hussein Obama. Every bumble is a
matter of record and completely verifiable.
