1021. Humpty Dumpty Joe [Biden]

I've been quiet enough. It took me a long time to get on Obama (OBlunder) when in his times he screwed up America along with his sideki...

378. Merkel responds to Euro currency concerns

During the past few days, many articles were delivered questioning whether the 17 countries presently using the Euro will stay using it. Many professors and such are leaning toward several of the countries moving away from the Euro and back to their own currency. I can see the problem: Europe's predominantly socialistic governing views had hurt their plans from the start. Merging strong-economic countries with weaker ones, and some just flat out terrible ones, meant that the stronger countries would have to bend to support the weak ones. However, was there ever any commitment? Or, did they plan like we do, i.e., just throw it out there and see what it rattles and cant last (like Obamacare), despite astronomical costs never really assessed at more than 10% of what the final amount will be. Today, Germany's Merkel laid out some reality to muster Euro support. They continue to fight for common rules and laws that satisfy all. Yet, we know that what has to happen is to everybody give up something. Hope the EU realizes that and get's the fires distinguished fast, or we'll be shoveling hot coals all of 2012.

btw. Happy New Year.

377. Thank You Obama - Iran Sanctions

A first step in additional sanctions on Iran is on the way. Keep an eye on the EXCEPTIONS! I would hope NONE unless friendly nations are at risk re oil supplies. A big Thank You for Obama at this time.

Another article summarizes support for the UAE re Iran's latest threats. UAE is also involved with the chaos in Syria. The world needs to continue to unite.

But then there are others, like Chavez who questions whether America doesn't have a cancer-causing agent that is responsible for the latest, including him, Latino leaders revealing their cancer.

376. The China Fed and its games

Reuters article re how China is trying to curb inflation while keeping the yuan as low as possible and making more money available to small businesses gives you an insight of China's "Federal Reserve." Like our Federal Reserve, China has many spigots to open to manipulate the economy. They can't just CREATE more money, because it would lower the yuan when you want to raise it to fight inflation or keep it in check by keeping it where it is. They also don't want to see the yuan increase because it hurts their exports even more (higher currency hurts exports, and therefore revenues, and therefore economy). So, how to you create more money for the small businesses that already have gone to loan sharks to get capital to stay afloat? You manipulate the reserves banks hold. If you lower the reserve requirements, they then have more money to loan to the small businesses (OR INVEST themselves). What will they do with the extra, now freed, reserve money? We shall see, because this is what they will continue to do in 2012. I don't believe this will abate inflation, but IF the banks free enough reserves to loan AND they do loan it out, the economy might get a boost from small business growth and job growth. More revenue from inside China might occur. I believe their goal is to get consumers to buy more of their own products. That would raise revenues as would a lower yuan that drives more exports would. China looks like a flat country  re economy growth in 2012. But, with the large cities being build up INDUSTRIALLY, they need to get people living and consuming within them now. Can't ask people to move in without giving them $$ (increase jobs, salaries) to sustain life. Tricky business. Of course, China has done this a different way: make every young individual enlist in the military. I might lighten up on emerging markets in 2012. Need to do more analysis.

375. Who should comply? Iran or World?

An OPEC official claims that: "West out to withdraw Iran oil ban plan: official." If U.S. goes ahead with oil ban, Iran will close Strait of Hormuz and the world will be in danger! How about, Iran continues with nuclear weapon and world won't exist? Do I care about the greed of OPEC that clouds their vision of threats in the world? Saudia Arabia already stated they will make up for any oil volume affected by such a closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Sounds to me OPEC is scared that it might self-destruct itself. Now would that be any big loss? Could we live with more competitive oil prices than a FIXED greedy one? Next they will ask America NOT to build nuclear plants, wind farms, and drill more oil over here. I say its time for an Iran squeeze. However, what does OBlunder say? "Cluck-Cluck" or "Screw America"? I'll be the first to give him kudos if he grows real American b*lls.

374. Big Fish = Little Fish

Today's USA article declares that corporations have increased syndicate borrowing. I take this as meaning the larger corporations are again borrowing for long-term growth. Now we need the small businesses to follow and for them to hire. I think it will come shortly. Where there are big fish stirring the water, there will be big fish to claim the scraps. Look for service small businesses to ramp up to support big corporation growth. Maybe this is enough news to hold the market through 2011 or even raise it more. But, keep in mind, that this is U.S. news and not reflective of the muck in Europe or continuous mid-Eastern chaos. As always, keep an eye on China.

373. OBlunder now promotes another vice

Today we learn that OBlunder decided that gambling is now permissible across state and country borders by rescinding the ban of gambling over the Internet, except for sports still banned by the Wire Act of 1961. All are allowed to use the "controlled and regulated" federal communications lines/waves to tempt those vulnerable to the gambling addiction. Don't we have enough addictions in the world? Of course, the alcohol prohibition didn't solve anything, thus we should promote everything? One could look at this as a victory for the states who want to allow gambling within its state. For them, the Federal Government is finally out of the picture. One could say this is favorable. But, does this now force all other states to write laws to ban gambling within its borders? Can they legally ban the companies now freed to run gambling from their residents? Are there taxes involved? Another can of worms for the states to wrestle when they really don't need additional headaches and expense. I  really have no opinion as to issue other than it doesn't come at a good time, nor does it seem that much thought has gone into changing the rules. It appears that OBlunder is again throwing trash at the country as fast as he can to destroy it without concern of America. What do you think? Is this overall good or bad? Right at this time? Soon OBlunder will have more balls in th air for us to juggle that he believes we'll no longer focus on what is important: the economy, jobs, foreign policy, tort reform.

372. Virginia: Land of the morons

What can you say about a state that makes it's primary elections ridiculous to qualify for AND lies about whether you are qualified or not? "republican Gingrich out of Virginia primary election" spells out LIAR and DUMB. Only TWO of the Republican candidates qualified for the primary elections there. The article clearly states that the Virginia state board earlier said he Gingrich ad more than the 10,000 signatures needed to qualify. WHAT happened to the others: Bachmann, Huntsman, Santorum? Only Romney and Paul are on the ballot. And people are debating the necessity to provide an ID card because it may prohibit some from exercising their RIGHTS! How about this Virginia? HOW did you assist the candidates to ensure they qualify so YOUR RESIDENTS COULD VOTE? OBlunder 101 politics and maneuvers obviously. Time to cut their borders and let them float over to Russia the hard way.

371. DJIA: Push to 12700, or fade to 12200 again?

We held support as expected, but this time blew past the 12,200 DJIA resistance (12294 close today). This indicates a move the next resistance level of 12,700. Was this a Christmas anomaly? Or can we sit back during next week's short trading period and float a little higher? 12,700 is around the corner; but when will we get there? I had predicted end of 1st or 2nd week in January before a slide back to the new support of 12,200. With Congress gone and ECB asleep for the holidays I would venture to guess, barring something catastrophic in the world, we can enjoy our holidays. I have already done my year end tax planning shuffle, so my feet are already up; hope your's are also. Have very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

370. Regulators Approve Nuclear Reactor Design

FINALLY! "Regulators approve new nuclear reactor design they say is safe." This is all that needs to be said in a process that has already taken too long. Let's keep the AP1000 nuclear reactor construction projects ON SCHEDULE. This is good news for the economy, jobs, and the market long-term.

370. Dunderhead Republicans

So, how many republicans does it take to screw in a light bulb? The question is not applicable because there weren't any light bulbs nor electricity back in the cave man days which is exactly where Congress still is! Cluck, cluck, cluck. Why did the chicken cross the road? To get away from the other goose.

I suppose We the People are supposed to just laugh at today's cowardice by the Republicans. See "House Republicans Cave on Payroll Tax Cuts Extension."

Guess they wanted their Christmas MONTH off too! A longer term solution will be in the hands of yet another SUPER committee once they all convene. In the meantime, through until February 1 at the earliest, the Canadians get to discuss a different path to the Keystone Pipeline than planned and we put jobs, jobs, jobs in jeopardy while we continue to burn OPEC oil! Thanks you OBlunder and Congress. Take more $$$ away from our children's SS fund. Favor those NOT in need over those IN need. VOTE THEM ALL OUT -- BOTH parties who continue to obstruct what is right!

369. Quote of the Day

Is this you?

"Each thing I do I rush through so I can do something else"

-- Stephen King in Insomnia

[The older I get, the more I can relate to Insomnia]

368. Again the AP Feeds the Public Crap Heading

The Associated Press obviously knows most people don't read the details even within their own articles. Look at this one stating "Gingrich, Clinton had stormy partnership." What does it SCREAM to you? Do you get the image of two rams butting heads? Do you think maybe they SHOUTED this heading because Gingrich claimed he worked with Clinton for all the reasons he said he did, and the Liberal AP didn't want the public to accept that? Now read the content and you will learn that, yes, politics are still played as today, BUT they did find a working relationship to indeed get all the things Gingrich claimed accomplished. Plus, if you listened to Clinton on the O'Reilly show last night, he said just that (also noted in the article content).
Just ANOTHER AP negative, Republican-bashing heading for those who ONLY want to see the surface of things. You know, the people who vote because the candidate gives them a pen, or because he can read a teleprompter well, or because he is young and handsome, or he is a senior like them, or any other reason OTHER than POLICIES AND FACTS! How cleverly INDOCTRINATING the Associated Press is! I have become highly skeptical of their articles or anything on Yahoo! today since they are now affiliated with the Liberal ABC network. This is truly a disservice to We the People.

367. The AP Starts Another Fire!

Today the AP put out this article, well, this statement actually since the article was nothing more than the heading: "Turkey says its recalling its ambassador to France, halting official contacts" IS the content. If you go back to my blog #351 you'll see why. France NEEDS a LAW to state its position re Turkey's genocide back in the Ottoman Empire days. But, they NEED the LAW to make it illegal to have a belief different from theirs (which is probably true, but not much different from a lot of "empires" back in those ancient days). But to MAKE IT A CRIMINAL act NOT to believe in their position? This is like a TREASON LAW? Come on France. Get over it -- people have different beliefs. Altering someone's current beliefs takes persuasion and trust building. I think that's what's important. NOT dwelling on the ancient past and destroying all attempts to build trust and cooperation today. Does France really believe the people of Turkey STILL maintain the same beliefs AND are at the brink of taking actions similarly? Do we have another Iran here? A North Korea? Is the UN working on this too?

Anyway, my point of this blog entry is the fact that the Associated Press LOVES to start fires! Don't you love the MEDIA? Maybe we need a LAW in AMERICA to ban articles like this -- or make them write it in French so we Americans don't have to read it.

[New link as of approximately 6:15 pm CST is "Turkey-France ties fray over Armenian genocide bill"]

366. The Grinch-Writers Just Can't Leave the Market Alone

This Fitch rating service warning just let's you know that the Grinch has an eye on America. Although they said nothing that wasn't already said before re Fitch, the authors did throw in some threats from Moody's Investor Service plus a rehash of one already acted upon by S&P when they did lower America's rating. This news from the Grinch-Writers during the Euro Zone crisis can only add fuel to the fire despite a no-action comment. So, hold on to your hats and get your cash ready when it hits the floor. Pull up a chair and warm yourself next to the fire until then.

365. You Make the Call re Defense

This article was just brought to my attention re removal of about 75% of the National Guard along out Southern border. Another OBlunder? Arrests are down, true. So are attempts to cross. Could it be our poor job market that is deferring the non-criminal illegals from their attempts. Are there reports as to the mix of individuals attempting to cross? Did the criminals slow down as much as the non-violent? Who knows? I contend that we should not put on our slippers and rest simply because some statistic says bad things have been reduced a little. It STILL ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH. When you look at all enforcement, 18,500 agents included, the reduction will be about 4.5% where the skilled agents are being kept in tact. Is the Pentagon just paying for the National guard? And the Agents are paid from a different bucket? Is the Pentagon just making a statement that it HAS to do so because OBlunder's Super Committee failed to agree on a balanced budget and now they are forced to reduce this much? Is the Pentagon just showing it is incompetent too by taking its 5% cut dealt to them and redistributing that cut evenly throughout its payroll so they too do not have to put in an effort to determine where thing should be cut? The overall incompetence of government AND agencies reeks. I suppose one could make a case that electronic and air defense over the border is the way to go. Probably true, given all the holes still there. But, do you see anything in this article to suggest where that funds of ADDITIONAL technology will be granted and that the shipments are already in progress and will be in the air BEFORE the guards are reduced? Just more things to consider re this article that barely scratches the surface of reason WHY the guards are being reduced. I personally see no logic and reason to back away from the border at this time. As a matter of fqct, I'd take some of those returning from Iraq (people forget they aren't getting out of the military) and put them there to replace the guards in bigger numbers. NOW is the time to take advantage of ADVANCING in border control; NOT to retreat. Thanks for the heads up Mike.

364. Up Market - But a bit overdone.

Careful now investors. Remember the volatility prediction to buy only near the lows. Don't go chasing stocks after the nice +2.9% DJIA and +3.2% Nasdaq. Patience. You might want to do you PLANNED year end selling while its up. An immediate .075-1% correction may be warranted to return to whatever-normal-it-should-be. Below that, get ready to order for the fun in January.

363. This is how you confront Iran -- Apply it to North Korea too

A previous blog entry pointed out the ridiculous plan to give North Korea Aid $$$$ to PAY them to continue talks. Here is how we should treat all countries who show antagonistic attitudes and actions to threaten the world.

362. Phew! I get another Birthday before End of World

I didn't know the specific date, but knew the world was predicted end in 2012. However, AFTER I get to celebrate one more birthday. Back in the Navy we used to have Short-Timer calendars to help us count down the days til we got out of active service. You can imagine the pictures -- color by mumber (backwards) to the sweet spot. Here's a challenge: Come up with a color by number to countdown the Mayan end-of-the-world apocalypse belief. You might want to read "The Ruins" by Scott Smith to prep you for the end-of-the-year events. I'll be here December 22, 2012 to tell you it didn't.

361. OBlunder...you make me laugh

Yo, O. I don't want the payroll tax cut to pass! Why would I want to sacrifice the SS & Medicare Funding to support those NOT in financial HURT? Chastise the Republicans and others who rejected the bill as much as you want. YOU are the one who needs to be whacked in the head (calling Gibbs from NCIS)!

360. Plus for Euro Zone

Today's European markets and so far U.S. markets reacted to the 3-year inflow of $$$ to the European banks (Euros to borrow that is). 3 year's work of funds were made available now, instead of shorter-term cash only. Germany was commended for the lift, although it's market gathered more steam from the ECB move, as did Spanish bond sales. A bit of good news to secure my market volatility prediction back in #342 and again in #348. Don't forget, #355 will be updated regularly with current Euro Zone status and plans.

359. BAD-D-D Republicans

The White House screams BAD Republicans because they want to stay in Washington to get a correct payroll tax cut bill passed. The Grinch himself (the anointed OBlunder), wouldn't show face and left it to an Aid to report his arrogance and lack of leadership to do what is right for We the People! Here's another flavor of the previous blog re House Republican's rejection of the Senate passed bill with Boehner calling it just kicking the can down the road. Color OBlunder green and he'd be a double of the Grinch in the Jim Cary version of the movie. Actually, I already had him as Alfred E. Newman (MAD MAGAZINE if you don't remember -- still on the magazine racks). #353 and #358 are the other blogs to read.

358. YES, there is a GOOD Grinch

Hod on Senators! The HOUSE is NOT going home before the job is done. Thank You! House leaders rejected the bill passed by the Senate to run home and essentially delay the key items of the payroll tax cut bill. My blog #353 reported what the Senate (Democrat majority) offered up. Let's see if the House representatives are a little more responsible and can get the Keystone pipeline STARTED NOW! I'd love to see the payroll tax cut extension get axed completely! However, if this is the only way to get the pipeline started (more jobs, less reliance on OPEC oil) and the doctors paid what they need to be to service seniors, then so be it. The good Grinch needs to haunt Congress' Christmas so We the People get our Christmas present of growing jobs; screwing the seniors by cutting doctor fees will only make the waiting lines longer and the number of doctors taking Medicare fewer! It is bad enough the payroll tax cut will rob them AND FUTURE GENERATIONS of dearly needed additional funds for the Trust Fund! Please. Get it right -- then go home. DO YOUR JOB.

357. Terrorist Rights

Can't wait to see the details of the new Terrorist Rules. According to this article, a law was passed (yet again) before the details were written. Some of the bill allows OBlunder to determine whehter a Terrorist should be in military custody or not! Who's side is he on? The agencies or Congress couldn't decide? I certainly don't trust OBlunder who continues to present all kinf of actions against America in all areas! The FBI can no longer (we think) question the terrorist and will turn him/her over to the military instead. How much of this will be true depends on the details; yet, the overview tends to indicate this. Will we make it until the next President and administration takes over? Let's see: military budget getting axed; but, increase the cost of handling terrorists. Increase civilian court costs (requires more taxpayer $$$);when We the People are already wallet/purse-worn. I think we are way past time to IMPEACH for other reasons.

356. Why do we PAY to talk to North Korea?

Here we go again. North Korea is like a pay phone: you have to PAY to TALK. We once again will spending our tax dollars on the phone call! When will our government wake up and finally accept that this does NOT work. Time and time again we have dished out money to North Korea to just keep them updated that we don't like what they are doing with NOTHING in return! STOP giving non-allies $$$$ ! PERIOD. Are we that weak? A few hours later....Kim Jong Il dead.

354. Iraq is mud says AP

Immediately when I saw the heading "Iraq: A war of muddled goals, painful sacrifice" I knew it had to be an Associated Press article. Come on out AP and fight, fight, fight for the ole OBlunder liberals. Nice history reported, but the conclusion is only what the AP believes and have indoctrinated it's readers to believe. As the individual in the article proclaimed, Iraq does have a proto-democracy now. This is a HUGE SUCCESS in an area firmly entrenched in corrupt and anti-American dictators. Do the AP authors really believe the world is worse off because of this? Do the authors really believe it was not worth America's sacrifice for freedom of people throughout the world? Are they so inhuman to want to wish upon the Iraq people the pain they had before the war and its continuance in the future? Does Ron Paul own the Associated Press? Is this news outlet Paul's Bible? Disgusting as usual!

353. Please, Please We Need a Break

Just when you thought we could clear a hurdle, another hurdle is set up in our path. Read all about the Senate's passing of the budget bill SHORT-TERM! You heard me right and if you are done reading the article than you too will see clearly that our representatives in government once again put their vacation time above our interests! BOTH parties need to be skinned! This is deplorable. The net of this bill is to allow them to go home and give them until February 2012 to wrestle some more. In the mean time, We the People will lose money from our already deficient Social Security trust fun (the payroll tax cut). I find it funny that they tell us that the tax cut is PAID FOR. Let's examine this: first, the funds not going into SS are LOST FOREVER. Second, to "cover" the cost of giving money to those who are working (cut in what they would have paid to Social Security), those trying to get a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan will be charged higher fees. So, they will rob the people who want to refinance under the "great" housing give-away programs to give to those living well already! UNBELIEVABLE! Now they are robbing the seniors AND the less fortunates they promised to help. You know my position: This should never have been passed AT ALL! As far as the doctor fee cuts. Fine that gets delayed, but for only TWO MONTHS! And the oil pipeline: just table it and start the debate all over again! Meanwhile we LOSE more jobs and become MORE DEPENDENT on oversea oil. People, this administration and Congress are killing America! This is UNACCEPTABLE!

352. Doesn't Paul Make Your Skin Crawl?

This tells you all about the GOP urchin that would devastate America even more than OBlunder! When I just hear his name I imagine a little, mean urchin crawling in a ditch looking for an innocent baby to devour! This idiot needs to be exported, how about exiled. And to think he has a clan backing him. Oh well, that's not too unbelievable. You can find backers even for the most corrupt "leaders" can't you? He and Whoopi should run as a ticket. She doesn't believe the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Paul doesn't believe Iran is developing nuclear bombs. If we had them in charge, more than half our nation, if not all of it, would be destroyed and overtaken before they even acknowledge who the enemy was! We could then lie in the streets with our legs in the air like dead cockroaches that Whoopi and Paul believe we are. Oh the price we pay for Freedom of Speech! What do you call a person who kisses the butt of an urchin? A Burchin A$$hole.

351. End of Freedom of Speech?

Am I understanding the bill France is trying to enact? "Turkey slams France over genocide bill" states that France will actually imprison those who disagree with their belief over the killing of Armenians during World War I era. And, they already have a bill over Holocaust. I definitely do not know my Ottoman Empire history enough to comment on this event being genocide, but to not allow an individual speak his/her opinion is certainly not an American rule. What is with the pompous French government? What significance is a LAW like this other than to kill attempts to sue a country over something THEY did? I just don't understand.

350. The Last Iowa GOP Debate

Last night Fox network held the last Iowa GOP debate before the January caucus. The candidates clearly united in depicting the current economic environment and how OBlunder is destroying America. But, who will prevail to match up against the anointed one in the General elections? Your guess is as good as mine. As I did mention back quite a way though, Ron Paul is a sore thumb an the process to not only the entire GOP, but to America. He and his band of loons would put We the People in danger. Talk about zany! I as glad to see Michele Bachmann call it as it is, i.e., tell Paul to his face how dangerous his foreign policy is. I'd rather say lack of one: to hide in a closet with a blind fold on and ear plugs and let the world battle it out with ANY leadership. Disgusting!

Now that I said that, let me touch on other opinions.

Romney was strong in the foreign policy and economy. I thought he chose the correct words to explain his thoughts on gay marriages (against using the word "marriage" and a type of union; has no discrimination against gays). I was satisfied with his answers why he changed his mind on a few positions. I would hope we would have a President who's own opinion does not come in the way of the people's opinion -- unlike what we have now with OBlunder.

Immigration policy? I believe he may eventually fully agree to incorporate some of Newt's considerations. Both are against having currently 11 million illegals in America. His solution is to somehow identify and then exercise some action to provide a legal alien (not U.S.citizen), but eventually making them go to the end of the line of new immigrants waiting to come in. He would prosecute all companies hiring "unidentified", illegals heavily. Newt on the other hand would also identify the millions, but carefully look at those with families here about 25 years who have abided by all laws and never been arrested of a major crime and provide them a means to immediate "legal" status and possibly a way to citizenship. Huntsman presented the other half of the equation that actually caused this overflow of illegals: America's lack of effective immigration policy that did not allow an adequate number of immigrants to come in legally to perform the jobs available and the imbalance of visas and policy to retain the high educational skills of those aliens we taught in our prestige schools. Our government caused the problems. Our government failed to control the problem. We should not flat out punish people we needed to grow America because the government didn't do the right job.

The characters of each candidate became vivid. Santorum equals values, trust, actions, determination, leadership. Unfortunately, his leadership is limited compared to those in areas where America needs them most: Overall economy. I truly believe Santorum could do the job, but personally believe I would rather see an individual with direct business experience take on OBlunder. He deserves some place in the administration.

Huntsman also deserves some place. I am impressed with his leadership in Utah: balance budgets, flat tax, wins over democrats, etc. His arguments are strong and usually valid. I love hi "no pandering" attitude. But, once again we have to ask who can take on OBlunder in the General elections. He probably has it in him, but I still have been wowed by him with overall content.

Bachmann, despite strong commitment and powerful answers thouroughly presented may be too conservative to win a general election. As you can tell, I am looking beyond the primaries for the candidate to beat OBluunder. That candidate must be flexible enough to understand that 100% conservative views isn't a reality in a nation that is mixed. I feel she would be as hard-headed as OBlunder, meaning, unable to compromise even a little.

Perry showed some spunk and clarity last night, but still seemed to bank his entire position on records rather than well-defined plans. He too brings his strength to the GOP table, but not the candidate we need.

That leaves Romney and Gingrich. Both can debate -- I'd give Newt the edge because he can debate anything to any length or depth. Unfortunately, America and We the People like strong debaters. How else did OBlunder win? Id Newt therefore the answer to the victory despite maybe Romney having the economic savvy we need for precise plans? It's a toss up. We really need them on the ticket. I can't shoose at this time who to lean toward. However, I would embrace either.

What I am sure of is that whoever the candidate becomes, he/she will incorporate all the strengths we heard from the others. The group on the whole, excluding Paul, has an extremely strong message and plan for America. We just cannot tolerate OBlunder 4 more years!

349. Watch out Romney

It's unfortunate that Romney is going to water-down the importance of business experience to appease the Christian base as per this, opinionated article by out liberal AP friends. I would assume this is exactly what the liberals would jump on; specifically ANYTHING that would divert We the People minds off the POOR ECONOMY. So, watch it Romney. I suppose you have to have to play the game of politics to get the votes from the masses who can't understand the economy and won't ever put it above their faith. What a sorry reason though to abandon the education the GOP continues to give America about WHY the economy is bad AND HOW TO CORRECT it. It's unfortunate that you still have to win by pushing the right buttons; you just can't expect the majority to understand complex issues. Right We the People? NOT MY PEOPLE! So, We the People, make an effort to understand ALL issues and question the validity and truth in articles like this. The liberal AP loves to pick up on something minute and make a huge issue out of it.

348. Quick, React

Hurry buy, buy, buy. Someone sneezed. Yes the market will react to somebody saying something encouraging; but is the news in this article just more wind and no movement? The ECB Chief said some encouraging words. But, even more, this Reuter's article actually tells you something about the issues NOW, the good AND the bad, the future concerns, etc. Thank you Reuters. The AP should heed some lessons from this reporting! A positive slant on the European crisis will result in in short spike to the market. And the volatility continues until someone else says the opposite. I was just kidding re buy, buy, buy. Sit back and buy when it's down, not on news that will only give you a short-term spike when the momentum is overall down.

347. Ap Bias Poll

After reading AP's article re the percent of people wanting to keep the payroll SS tax reduction extension and a few other issues, I examined the AP-GfK methodology to see if I can determine whether an independent developer of the poll was used. Not! The methodology only discussed the randomness of callers, not who actually wrote the questions asked. After working in consulting and on two occasions participating with other consulting specialists re effective surveys versus biased surveys, I did recall how misleading polls can be if the questions were leading, or biased. For example, "Given the fact that an individual with a salary of $50,000 can get $1000 if the extension of the payroll tax cut is continued, do you favor it's extension?" Who would say NO to that? Opposed to, "Given that if you get a payroll tax cut in 2012 and the SS fund is endangered even more because it is funded that much less, which could mean you, and in particular more needy people, will get less when you turn the eligible age for SS, or nothing at all, do you favor an extension of the payroll tax cut?" Now say you? These examples show you how you can get opposite answers. Which is better? I say the one that explains the ramifications of extending it is. Too often the people called, a good 90% in this case, have no idea what the extension is, let alone, the ramifications of it! As always, the developer of the questions can determine the results even before the asking.
With that, I am still adamantly against the extension. It certainly doesn't put any money in my pocket now and doesn't endanger my SS now either (I don't think). I am only looking after the next generations, and specifically those people who will actually have to LIVE ONLY on SS pay. The poor people and those out of work do NOT benefit NOW and certainly later (SS pay) with an extension.
Then, we come to the other issues in the article: "ending the Bush Tax cuts, or adding a surcharge on millionaires." Do you people in the low brackets understand that you will pay NO, i.e., 0%, tax on dividends and long-term gains under the Bush Tax Cuts? Bet you don't! The millionaires don't get that benefit. Instead, you want to end the cuts and PAY 10-15%? Wow, you majority of people who AP says are in favor of ending them are CRAZY! As far as surcharge on millionaires, I already commented on that in previous blogs: I agree, as long as the tax is on PERSONAL income. I would even drop it to those earning more than $150,000. Why? Because if my wife and I can live on LESS THAN $45,000 each year, surely those making $150,000 (deference allows for a hefty mortgage and child rearing)! But, once again, biased questions can determine the results beforehand, and thus MISLEAD, or even worse, INDOCTRINATE those who don't keep up with the news (I would venture 80+% ... just watch Jay Leno's section where he goes out on the street and asks questions). I wouldn't go to the extreme of calling these people stupid, but I would question their involvement or obligation to knowing current events and issues BEFORE opening their moths and voting on anything. This is the biggest fault in a democratic process! I believe the founding fathers anticipated this and that is why America was declared a REPRESENTATIVE democracy. The representatives We the People vote in are supposed to be thou roughly informed AND to keep us thoroughly informed, or even to watch out for our ignorance, and act in the best interest of all people, NOT their comfortable salary and cozy office in Washington D.C. and state. Oh how they have abused their responsibilities. And now we also have to put up with a biased media and polls to mislead us and indoctrinate us even more!
Wake up call people! Time to THINK before you jabber and vote. That doesn't mean you need to agree; but just take some time and think about all the ramifications of an issue. You will need some help I would assume. Yes, you will have to go to the media articles. Read them cautiously with bias in mind. Be skeptical of all of them. Think for yourself!

346. All that glitters IS gold.

The contrarians say BUY Gold. However, the market has been throwing in the towel. Which is right? Take a look at how gold performed. An indication os to pull up a 10-year chart of the gold ETF "GLD". Now, pull up a 1-year chart of GLD and display the %Williams . Do you need any more reason NOT to put some gold in your pocket? I made some rather big profits this year before selling just over this point. Thought then I could have kept it for further gains (and it did gain), but wanted a few other stocks in a diversified portfolio. Now is the time to get back in (IRA accounts only of course; don't want to monkey around with the expense reporting).

345. Loggerheads. All of them!

Isn't it time we replace everybody in Congress? We definitely need to break the log jam between parties! Here's the latest bill passed through the House that will never make it to OBlunnder's desk. , first off, am not even for the extension of the SS Payroll Tax Cut which removes intended funds to an already ailing SS fund to people who already have jobs and should be happy! If I were to guess, this is small peanuts in the entire bill that the Republicans will give to get their plan for creating jobs and positioning for the reduction of OPEC oil. I DO agree with their position. However, this is not OBlunder's position, so he has already announced he would veto it. Now their is leadership! What an anti-American a-hole he is. He claims his government spending policy on infrastructure is the ONLY answer to the jobs crisis. Well, we've been hearing this for three years, even when the Democrat's owned both House and Senate! Yet, we still sit here with HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT and at the mercy of OPEC!

This bill also consists of the prevention of doctor payment reductions for Medicare services. Again, a necessity for the seniors who for two years in a row saw their SS payments remain flat while their Part B costs go up. In other words, too a major pay cut to support the poor. So, Harry Reid, senator for the worst managed state of Nevada, what is your move? Well, it's back to square one. We already know their position from 6 months ago: surtax on the rich. However, it MUST be INSTEAD of the republican suggestions. Can't ever be in ADDITION to them.

I say, QUIT bundling things in bills! Send each entity itself as a separate bill and get SOMETHING passed. Seriously, if they did that, I doubt the republicans would even bite for the SS Payroll Tax Cuts. But, hold up the Pipeline from Canada to Texas? WHO wouldn't want that to help create jobs and reduce OPEC dependency? Only those on the side of anti-American progress! I'll even vote for the surtax on the rich, as long as it is PERSONAL income we're talking about and NOT business income. What a bunch of morons we have in Congress and leading this nation. Vote them all out!

344. "The Dark Half" by Stephen King

Yes, another reread of a Stephen King book. The SPARROWS ARE FLYING in "The Dark Half." I liked this book to the tune of at least 4.8 stars. The main character is again a writer (Thad) with his pen name (George Stark) coming to life to terrorize those who ended his life. This story will keep you interested throughout. I found in most of King's books he starts strong, slowly crawls through the middle two quarters with details (gotta write at least 800+ page books), , and then makes the hairs on your body stand up the last quarter of the book. This one is an exception and will keep you interest throughout. Enjoy.

343. GOP Vice President

Just a note: I hope the GOP candidates with real business experience don't lose focus on getting OBlunder out of the White House! I just wish the liberal media would stop making every little word a monumental issue that ignites GOP infighting or tries to discredit all of them. I HOPE We the People FINALLY realize that the media is our enemy! They will destroy America with their ignorance and continuous, "sensualizing" reports of tidbits. I swear less than 30% of the news is based on any facts and less that 30% of that is based on correct facts. I'd really like to see Romney, Cain, Huntsman, or even Bachmann's business experience in the administration. It's still too early to call, but Newt is a strong leg up and has the finesse needed to debate anybody. He WILL need a strong V.P. with business experience to ensure the donkey is revealed as the A$$ it is. Maybe then, BOTH parties will get their act together an do what We the People want. They ARE supposed to REPRESENT US!

342. End of Year Market Planning

Here we are again closing out another year. While the Mutual Fund owners reshuffle their portfolio, other large investors are readjusting their portfolios too in anticipation of next year's booming stocks. But, what are next year's winners and losers? My observation today was that given the Europe crisis, consumer stocks were interestingly getting sold. Thus, money is moving from the safer stocks into something. As expected, the winning industries were Technology, Drugs, and O&G in that order. That makes sense since the dollar is shining over the European crisis making our exports (electronics) popular during the holidays. The high dollar also kept the O&G's in check or slightly off. PFE's recent good news in last several days was contagious in that market. Now when the dollar drops again (Euro gets stronger), O&G should rise to lock in equal profits. Which one chases the other is questionable, but I always figure they like to maintain their profits, thus oil rises when dollar drops. Rise in oil = higher revenues = looking better = higher stock price. Technologies have been waiting to REALLY break out and expected to in 2012; i.e., given no really worse news in the world. I still see the demand in Emerging markets (India, China, Brazil) saving the world's butts. Of course, the caveat is stability or improvement. Will Russia take a dive re Putin's lackluster image? Will Iran stay quiet unless verbally provoked? Will OBlunder just shut up!

Sam's red, squeaky, "crystal ball" toy tells me Techs, O&G, Industrials, and Materials will again carry us forward in 1Q-1H of the year. It also predicts summer will again bring on another 6 months of waste. Short term? How about volatility for another 13 business days, clearing up around, well, first week in January. Get ready by 12/19 to start your BUYING during the low points of the volatility. Remember, Mutual Funds will clear the stuff that went sour this year so their funds look like they have good stuff in them to entice we dumb folk.

In short: Start pecking on my birthday (19th) thorugh remainder of year. Good time to sell your losses too if you need write offs, or SELL Long-Term Gains if in 10-15% tax bracket (AFTER the sale income included) to take advantage of 0% tax (thank you Mr. Bush). Then enjoy the rider through 1Q2012. Will the red squeaky toy work yet again?

Oh, I still think 12700 is next resistance level...could still make it before the new year rings in.

341. Newt's Tax Plan gets dinged by Liberal AP

The "Study: Gingrich tax plan will worsen deficit" article, again by the LIBERAL AP, is no more that a put down without any details. Once again they target Republican hopefuls when they should be reporting how much OBlunder's tax plans for the last 3 years KILLED the economy and We the People's net worth.

Net: Newt is proposing that tax payers, obviously above 15% tax bracket, can CHOOSE either a simple 15% flat tax or stay the course and fill out all the forms where they will deduct things or not report tax on income deemed non-taxable. If I had access to national databases that would report what the average RICH person's EFFECTIVE tax rate was, I could compare the effects of them reporting 15% versus the average. But, even then, consider these:

  • I would bet the RICH folk have millions of income in NON-taxable investments
  • I would bet RICH people can find ways already to report LESS THAN 15% EFFECTIVE tax rate despite their 38% tax bracket
  • I would assume under Newt's plan ALL income, including some of the skeptical income currently deemed tax exempt would be counted to determine the 15%, plus all write offs will be void if you use the 15% method
  • Given all the above, I would venture to say that FEW will accept the 15% because it would actually result in MORE taxes. They would rather pay a few thousand to a tax attorney to DO their taxes and pay LESS than to simply send Uncle Sam a 15% tax check.
Don't take my word for it (above conclusion), but then definitely DON'T TAKE AP's WORD either! PROVE IT AP! Show me FACTS! Or, SHUT UP! As Sam would indicate, just Common Scents (and AP Doesn't smell good).

340. The Windows 98 Albatross

What do you do with an old PC with obsolete boards and Windows 98? I found an enlightening project: build a more secure game machine for a challenged individual who needed to be prevented from going to the Internet and inadvertently/intentionally hitting keys that would change/damage the system. Here are a few neat things I did:
  • Stripped the system software down to just bare bone W98; no communications & Internet
  • Removed "Network Neighborhood" and "Recycle Bin" from the Desktop
  • Created an Invisible ICON to replace "My Computer" and hid it somewhere on the Desktop where it can be clicked if you know where it is
  • Disabled "Start", both left and right click
  • Disabled use of Right Click everywhere.
  • Installed a bunch of games, a calculator, and Wordpad
  • The Desktop contains ONLY ICONS allowed to the individual
  • All removal/disable of function can be restored via Reg Restores
I hope this Christmas present from "Santa" proves to delight the individual who will now have his own personal PC.

339. A Lot to Digest re EU Summit

"Europe pushes ahead fiscal union, UK isolated" tries to make sense of the EU summit results from attending 9 major countries. My mind can no longer bind the various threads spun in this article. What is the resolve? Or is the only output from it more spin to hid the dismal situation in the short run? You decide. I think the points below might capture what I learned:
A Summary on EU Summit:

- 27 Countries involved in Euro Treaty will be affected by plans (10 at the Summit)
- Britain did not agree with the other 9 re new treaty that will subject them also to new rules within 3 months
- 26 total countries backed it
- Smaller countries are at the mercy of the 85% who do support it and they don't like that
- Goal was to defend the Euro as single currency while defining actions to stabilize current financial crises
- They didn't support Germany's proposal to keep rescue funds in individual country reserves
- Instead, The EU and ECBs will be the managers of global rescue funds
- Banks will continue to buy bonds in an orderly and regularly (Euro $20B per week) instead of a massive buy
- Funds will be available for 3 years providing liquidity as needed
- Individual budgets are to be scrutinized by a central EU group
- Budget overrun actions are to be effective more automatically
- Intergovernmental commitment of 17 countries will agree to a new treaty open to others

Don't take my word on the points above. As I said, it's difficult to comprehend it all. However, I feel they agreed to continue to maintain their status quo -- present goals and actions -- but with more desires to automate budget violations. The ball (snow?) continues to roll. They did establish that Britain isn't happy with the other 9 and that some of the smaller countries will have to roll with the punch (other 85% who only need to agree to get something passed). I like the up front plan to make bonds available regularly rather than our "hidden and secret" Federal Reserve surprises that disturb the markets all at once. I'll be reading more about progress in the future. Our markets will be affected by anything Europe does. We and Asia depends on them to buy our products.

Oh, don't forget that the IMF also has emergency funds that countries like Europe and Spain might tap, outside the EU's domain. What a mess. To read more re IMF, see this article.

338. DJIA at 12196 .. keep an eye out

Resistance was already hit about 15 minutes before today's close on the DJIA. As I stated earlier, it's time for you to consider the next drop (like tomorrow?). Then look for 12700.

337. OBlunder Still Supports Paying for Overseas Oil and No Job Creation

Oh the media and their negative conservative headings! Catch this one: "Obama warns republicans leave tax cuts alone." Just another LIBERAL Associate Press article. Would you believe it has nothing to do with the Republicans not supporting a tax cut (even though I do)? The article states that Obama doesn't want to allow even a decision on the oil pipeline between Canada and the United States all the way to Texas until 2013 (politics - after next elections). Out of work and need a good paying construction job? Well, you won't be getting one here until 2013 when our new President kicks the bum out!

HOW can a leader of this country turn his back to creating jobs? It is unimaginable! The old fuel industries are our saviors to get out of this economic crisis! Jobs, jobs, jobs --actual construction labor, construction equipment and other product manufacturing, and every other service connected to the process of building a multi-state + Canadian pipeline. Talk about killing capitalism and jobs! Thanks OBlunder!

Now for the tax cuts. Congress already passed the extension of unemployment benefits for a longer time period. Did we have to dig in our pockets again to pay these people because OBlunder won't open up the industries that can create jobs? Strike1,963 at least. Now he wants to continue the sabotage to Seniors by robbing Medicare funding for another year, to give again to those having jobs. He would rather throw pennies at the fortunate workers than give to the poor while killing the Medicare system even more; which will turn out to be a much higher tax burden on all of us to catch up on the dollars already thrown away on the program.

Get MAD people. We have a clown in the White House who is MORE than a clown! He is destroying America.

336. Tax Time x 4

Please bring on the Flat Tax! I just installed my H&R Block at Home tax program and cranked in some numbers to estimate my 2011 taxes. I do this every December to determine if I can take more gains or need to take more losses. Well, 2011 begins the broker's reporting of Cost Basis for stocks bought in 2011 and sold (bond cost basis reporting begins in 2013). So what are your in store for when reporting your gains/losses you ask? A nightmare!

For each stock sold you must first tell the IRS if the broker reported it on the 1099-B form. Then you need to tell the IRS what is in some new boxes on the 1099-B which indicates whether cost basis was included (i.e., stock bought in 2011) or not (bought before 2011). So, you have 3 possibilities: (1) Long term gain/lost for stock bought before 2011, (2) Short term gain/lost for stock bought before 2011, (3) Short term gain/loss for stock bought in 2011. For (3) you then get to answer the cost basis questions and any differences you determine (e.g.,if you have REIT that pays out non-taxable dividend and you have to adjust the cost basis accordingly but the broker's system didn't do it).

Anyway, the time to complete will probably go up about 4 times from of before for gain/loss reporting! Don't you love tax forms?

I am so-o-o-o-o in favor of a flat tax. And the no tax reporting under it is NOT the only major benefit. Please Goggle the Internet for "flat tax" and learn the benefits, such as, NO MORE IRS overhead (imagine the savings to your pocket if that IRS is disbanded entirely); no more TAX accountants and lawyers; no more TAX time headaches and stress. Now imagine how more efficiently corporations can function and run and that benefit coming back to you as reduced product/service costs. How about NO MORE Congress bickering and loop holes or discussions. So many cost benefits! So, please do some homework. Look also at Amazon.com for books.

335. Who's Side is OBlunder On?

What I thought was an article just about Iran capturing a US, probably CIA, drone turned out to be an alarming, bend over, O will kiss your butt article. Read the last two paragraphs of the article and you will see that O wants Congress to back down on additional Iran sanctions. Puppet O is obviously well influenced by Russia and China!

Yes, it's bad that such high technology fell into Iran's hands. You'll read that the drone is actually programmed to land on its own if contact lost. Land in enemy territory! Give $Millions of technology away! Give the most dangerous leader in the world a way to counteract our drones! WHY WASN'T IT PROGRAMMED TO SELF-DESTRUCT if not landed by our military? How dumb are we? And now we will forget our mission to stop NUCLEAR WEAPON development in Iran? Does the word IMPEACH come to mind? One more year may be too many!

334. Timmy Geithner Squawks Like a Parrot

"Geithner 'encouraged' by fiscal progress in Europe" tells how Geithner is whizzed by the European wizards. I truly hope he's right. But, how can we believe Timmy, our Treasurer, who continues to keep our feet firmly stuck in America's economic woes? I just read something interesting in Stephen King's "The Dark Half" that reminded me of Timmy. Stephen writes (paraphrasing since I don't want to scan the entire book to find it again): Do you know how no questions are asked and no attempts to join a conversation are offered by individuals who don't have a clue what the other person is talking about?Sure you do. Even I catch myself just going along with the flow (hoping it ends soon). However, I bet those people can summarize how the other person feels and said once the conversation is over. But, can that other person articulate WHY the originator's comments are true or false? That's how I feel about Timmy. His comments tell me nothing I didn't already know or anybody already knows. I would have like to know his opinion on some of the specifics discussed, like the one by the German Finance adviser who wants to create a fund in every country. (see #328). Why do we continue to pay the high salarier officials when their perfomance is not only poor, but damaging?

333. AP: Dirt, Dirt, Dirt

"Perry called top donors from work phones" is yet another Liberal AP article throwing mud at a Republican candidate. One that probably isn't even a factor any more to boot. You'll note they do admit they DON'T know what the conversations were about. Gee, maybe he was inviting them all to a 17-day conference in Hawaii to solicit their ideas via a 2012 Texas planning session. Come on AP! Why didn't you report on the O's CAMPAIGNING? He's been campaigning using We the People's tax dollars all year! Surely there is more important news to report re this world and America than to-the-minute phone call chronologies. How about the 1/2 $B to Solyndra? Or the ATF's gift of guns to the Mexican drug lords who KILLED one of our border agents? Your Liberal bias and articles are disgusting!

332. Whoa There - More market Advice

"Don't get mad at Wall Street, get even" revisits a know end-of-the-year phenomenon. Yes, there is usually a sell off of "bad" stuff to dress the books before the annual report comes out. But, is the bad stuff ALWAYS stuff that will be good within a month as this article states for M.r Putnam's picks? I say not. However, I would venture to guess that Mr. Putnam scrapped his bad and picked up things that either grew even better or maybe were safer. Remember, once-a-year portfolio dressing is ALWAYS a must; not necessarily to scrap the worse performing, but to REBALANCE the portfolio for diversity and your life style/age. Mutual funds need to take into consideration the balancing of risk. They also need to consider the new, FULL year's objectives and design a portfolio to fit it. They therefore need to shun a new dress, meaning they need to change the portfolio and scrap something. Do you scrap your winners or losers? Duh! Another consideration is whether you pass capital gains through to the holders (THEY pay the taxes) or sell losers and not pass gains (or losses) through. So, don't get excited that there are treasures thrown away for your pickings. Hold on to your methodology of stock picking first. If anything in the list passes those tests, then BUY.

We are still edging towards the 12200 resistance stated in #324. The Mutual Fund redressing SHOULD take effect so and knock us back a little. But, acknowledge what is causing the drop. Also, note that computers set to trigger at a certain level do NOT consider everything and usually cause the market to drop more than it should. That's BUY TIME.

331. The World is a Mess -- Let's Party

The world's economy is a mess, it's politics is a mess, it's love for each other is a mess. America has its own problems too, such as, budget, Medicare & SS, Medicare doctor fees, Immigration policy, Foreign policy (lack of), trade deficit. The majority of America's problems have been going on for years and decades. Congress continues to spin wheels. The President continues to hide in a closet and wish others would lead. But, what does that matter? Let's take a 17-day vacation to Hawaii! Yet again, the President of the United States ignores a bucket of overflowing toxic waste in his own house. How many hundred of thousands of dollars will it COST US at Christmas time to send him and his security people on huge not-so-green planes all the way to Hawaii? The trip is one thing; the loss of another 17 days up-righting a sinking boat is much more important. Happy HOlidays Pres! YOu bring this wOrld sO-O-O-O much jOy! Keep Oblundering alOng. UnfOtunately, yOu will still have yOur jOb when yOu get back!

330. Let's Throw Up Our Hands in Defeat

Don't you love people who are pessimists? Don't you love people you measure results by half-empty glasses? Don't you love the Associated Press and Cato Institute for giving up on America's security? "Promises, Promises: Securing Border Impossible" shouts out their ignorance. We should throw up our hands and be satisfied with the border security we have! We should ignore the even more threatening future and downgrade our house from wood to straw! Get a life people. Learn the difference between "a mission" and specific "objectives". A mission statement is a guide to defining specific objectives. "Securing the Border' is a mission statement. Erecting a fence across 3/4 of the border by 2014 or 24/7 monitoring of all the border by electronic means by 2015 are objectives towards the mission. I now know the AP' and Cato's resolve for america -- half empty! I, on the other hand, think our progress on securing the border is "Half Full" with CONTINUOUS and QUICKER improvements ahead. Thank you Republican candidates for agreeing.

329. The Liberal Media Lights More Fires

As expected, the liberal media tactics to ignite Republican infighting is endless. The Associate Press has now targeted Bachmann as their match and Romney and Gingrich as the fuel -- see "Bachmann: Romney, Gingrich both have 'flaws'." If their words are 'truly' correct and not taken out of context, Michele needs to look in the mirror too. I hate the infighting as much as I hate the press; well, not as much. Everybody has some flaws -- so what! Everybody has different opinions and plans -- these can flaws in the oppositions's eyes even if the opposition is wrong. Do we need the press to bark every time they think someone is at the door? Go gnaw a bone (your own)! [Thanks for your input Sam, glad you are still here in Spirit to add to the mess]

328. Verstehen Sie Deutsch?

I thought I understood German a little until I read the article "German Finance minister details debt fund plan before EU summit." If I do understand it, then it's nothing but double accounting and mandatory tax increase for every country with debt greater than 60% GDP for that country. Isn't that like our government imposing taxes on each state? Am I correct in this analysis:

1. Each country in Europe with debt greater than 60% MUST set up a national fund consisting of debt above 60%.
2. The country then must apply a portion of their tax revenues to pay off at least 40% of this fund's debt over 20 years.
3. Thus, the country will need to cut spending and/or raise tax revenues enough to do this.
4. Hmmm. Who pays the holders of the debt in this special fund for the 20 years? If I understand the plan, the country that issued the debt in the first place must still pay the debt holders and also pay off/buy back up to 40% of the debt over 20 years. Right?
5. And this is helping the nations to grow their economy how? When implemented, aren't they lowering their economic intake (tax revenues + other revenue) by an additional amount to pay the fund off?

I guess I don't see the logistics of this scheme. What's the difference between this and just telling them they need to pay off 40% of their debt above the 60% debt above GDP? Or really ENFORCING the rule they already have of the upper debt of GDP limit? Sounds like our government in that instead of enforcing a law, just create another law to enforce something else to hide the first, then create later another law to hide both the first and second laws, etc. Oh, yes, don't forget the EXCEPTIONS to the first law, then second, third, etc. until everyone if excepted and we are socialized. Too big to fail laws. Where and when does it stop?

As I expected, the EURO concept just isn't going to work for decades. America did it with a national currency eliminating other individual currencies. But this was way before unions controlled things. Back when it was actually more effective and efficient to do so. Attempting this when Europe did was in the midst of an already complex economic and technical environment. I'll have to look back at the reasoning why they proposed a Euro. However, I had already suspected the individual countries had to be stroked specially and differently to get each on board. I don't recall seeing that. I only saw a mass plan suck them in like a vacuum cleaner. Good luck.

327. Know Your Enemy, BUT Don't Kiss Their Butts

How do you feel about China and Russia? Do you get an uncomfortable feeling that they continue to allow Iran to build a nuclear weapon? Do you feel like me that once they note only have the technology, but a weapon, that they can join them in Asian supremecy to the point where we are threatened BIG TIME? Now add Turkey to the mix where Iran has their nose in helping them develop nuclear. And do you think Pakistan and Afghanistan will NOT join the then close supremacy? My feeling again surfaced when I read this article re Russia essentially telling us we're wasting our time (with the UN) trying to implement sanctions. Bend over China and Russia, OBlunder will gratefully bow and kiss your butts. But first, he'll lie his butt off and tell We the People that he LOVES America. I have already concluded he is totally naive and blind-sighted by his entire staff and especially foreign country leaders. GET HIM OUT of the White House.

326. AP Liberals Love Their HATE headings

Two Liberal articles stand out today from The Associated Press:

The first "Gingrich's unpredictability raises concerns" by Laurie Kellman tries to get the country in an uproar with her HEADING. when the jest of the article is just one republican's answer, and probably rushed one, to a LEADING question re Newt's immigration comments. I'll take Newt's unpredictability over Mr. Oblunder's predictable failures any day! Especially when Newt's right on and the Republican whose opinion is asked is dead wrong. We could even surmise that the Republican quoted just hasn't thought the issue through OR simply stating that he Baa-Baas with the rest of the sheep.

The second article with the heading "Romney attacks Gingrich as Washington insider" again throws gas on the fire the Liberal's always start when they are losing control. This time trying to give the Republican candidates the image of infighting and chaos. I believe the point Romney was making is the country needs HIS BUSINESS-oriented leadership in the White House more than his political experience that he comes up short on. That's fair; he wants to win the presidency. I say the White House needs BOTH a Business-Oriented AND political administration. I would love to have Gingrich and Romey on the same ticket. Although, I would at this time lean to Newt as President and Romney as Vice President.

But, who knows who will win out in the end, even in my mind.

325. Liberal Media ABC Spouts Off Again - Food Stamps Bush's Fault

Check out the headline in this. Now read it and see the liberal bias for yourself. Once again Bush is blamed for the Anointed One incompetence to manage the Food Stamp program. Or should I say the FRAUD going on! Well, gee, maybe Eric Holder, who I now dub as Mr. Corruption, should swing his bat at this. But then, he'll never hit the ball and only add another strike to his total and it's NOT 3 strikes and your out in the old White House game.

ABC needs to be sent you-know-where! I'm sure the Anointed One whispered in their ear Once again. Thanks Mr. Blunder. Newt was right! MORE Food Stamps than ever are being issed. Only change now is that people get a debit card. If you scan back through other articles this week, you'll find reports of Food Stamp abuse where some "stores" are giving people CASH for their Food Stamp credit LESS a fee for looking the other way. Thus, the recipients of Food Stamps CAN use the Food Stamp credit, NOW CASH, for anything. $Trillions in debt and We the People continue to let Mr. Oblunder remain in office to allow him and Eric Holder CORRUPT our country. Am I asking too much for you ignorant liberals (includes ABC) to wake up? Or are you part of the corruption? Please pack your bags for Russia -- you aren't going to destroy America!

324. Market Rebound

Keep an eye on 12200 resistance. We may stop there yet again until Congress agrees on next "financial/job" issues: Extension of jobless benefits by increasing weeks already at 99 (against -- time to take ANY job), punish the wealthy who had greater than a $1M income by removing unemployment benefits (okay), punish the upper 1% of wealthy with 3.5% surtax (okay, we need the help, but let's make it personal income, not small businesses), increase medicare premiums for wealthy (okay, all seniors need their help), how about freezing of government payrolls (YES, need to get them in line with private salaries; cutting PENSIONS would be nice too!), reduce goverment jobs by 200,000 (okay, funnel off to private sector). Even more important is to kill the 27% cut to doctors for medicare services -- we do not need to spend Congress resources on a health issues to burden their economic decisions. Frank-Dodd repeal would be a blessing! With only about 20% implemented, we've already spent over $250M from OUR pockets for NO benefits. I just want to repeat again: BYE BARNEY FRANK, you loser! For some insight on latest economic battles in House, see this article.

With another Congressional vacation after mid-month, I wouldn't expect anything to happen until the end-of-the-year show. So, look for 12200 resistance once again. Maybe we'll shoot through it in December to next resistance of 12700. We need a strong finish to stave off the rating companies.
