164. Son of Stimulus

"Son of Stimulus" is what the Republicans are calling the house bill approved today. Reviewing the article on the bill here, I found the following: "...absent from the plan were Obama's recently announced initiatives to give Social Security recipients $250 payments, a tax credit for small businesses that create jobs and a program awarding tax credits to people who make their homes more energy efficient." How can the Democrats (no Republicans voted for it) be so CLUELESS. For another $154B we get ONLY an extension to a worthless first job stimulus? Note: ONLY the GOVERNMENT jobs increased from the last one. CUT Capital Gains taxes! Then maybe money can be spent on new workers or salary increases or both to really stimulate more spending and the economy. The House has become a railroad -- unfortunately, they are on the wrong track. Instead, they'll continue to add to the deficit -- is it their intention to destroy the economy so they can demand socialism and their other agendas?
