This is an intelligent mystery with a light side. The plot doesn’t slow. Characters are interesting, realistic and often quirky. The dialogue, especially between the lead detectives, is bright and witty. It pokes fun at the rich and pretentious citizens of Charleston without being nasty. This is the second book in the Charleston series and like the Palm Beach series by Tom Turner, is absolutely enjoyable.
