Well, old dogs can still learn new tricks. Apparently Google changed Chrome sometime to force you to specify the Windows Password if you want to see the passwords for sites where you saved a login password. In short, you go to Google Chrome Settings,, advanced settings, manage passwords and get a list of sites that have saved passwords. A button to the right for each allows you to SHOW the password. Except it takes you to a popup that asks for your Windows Password. Well, do you know it? Is it your Google PW? How about your Microsoft PW? How about Windows Live? Strike 3 and your out.
The mean your Window's Account password. The one you use to sign into your windows account (if you specified one) to get on YOUR account on your machine. Some people may use the Microsoft password for this, but the majority use the LOCAL password for this. LOCAL password is specified in the User Account.
So, there you have it. Hope I saved you some time and aggravation since I found NO HELP from searching for help. Enjoy.
